Can people mod or hack their lap time? I say it as there are unbelievable times, and I mean unbelievable on the leaderboard that surely aren't real.
When they post a 2 second time? Yeah, you can. There's a whole realm of losers with 'modded' accounts and cheats etc. It's a good way to get banned, too.I need to get back on this. I think I posted my R390's time Monday, but spent Tuesday trying to build a Nissan GT-R Limited thing, which turned out to be a whole second slower, no matter what I did. Then I tried a 240z, which is hellishly fast on the straights, but doesn't have the downforce.
I've got a couple of LFAs, and it's one of my favourite cars, so I might have a go with that later. If I can't sort that, I'll keep doing runs in the R390. I probably only did around 10 or so.

I do think tunes are very personal to how you like to drive, i put my GT3RS tune up the other week and people were slower than in their own tunes which were slower than me. Ive used others' tunes and found i couldnt get anywhere near them. Theres also braking zones on this track that arent braking zones at all...
Ive put the bits back on the NSX today so the codes changed (didnt know that), 834 654 783 if anyone wants a bash.
You can't fool us - there's no way it's the same tune -Ive put the bits back on the NSX today so the codes changed (didnt know that), 834 654 783 if anyone wants a bash.
A) By the first flags, you're 50m ahead
B) It has a different spoiler!!
You're having us on!
I spent ages yesterday on this and I'm fking awful.
Managed to get the same build as cutters as he's using a max power with drag tyres tune which is how he can get off the line so fast. As soon as the first corner comes though he's gone
Hate point to point as you don't get your credits as you restart so much as opposed to a circuit.
Totally stock car on a circuit next week please.

No you don't, you cross the line and it says "You beat/you failed to beat...." etc., and it then gives you your next rival or the one you failed to beat. You either click "no thanks" (A button) or "Bring it" (X button). Obviously if you cock up early on in the lap you have to decide whether to bin it off or keep going for the credits, but seeing as the credits are only about 8k anyway, there doesn't seem much point.Managed to get the same build as cutters as he's using a max power with drag tyres tune which is how he can get off the line so fast. No it wasn't- it was allowed to be tuned to 910.
Be fair Von, for a few weeks you've kept shouting it down and we ended up with a few weeks of the same old thing.
Oh sorry, didn't mean too - I'm more than happy to give it a go. Quite happy to thrash a bog standard A3 or whatever around a track! Be fair Von, for a few weeks you've kept shouting it down and we ended up with a few weeks of the same old thing.
I was actually wondering if it is worth creating an events listing for next few rounds so people can see what is coming, up actually - create a mix of stuff for everyone which we can all agree on.

I always just restart when I know I've cocked up. Quicker to get back in the game. Circuit obviously each lap counts.peterattheboro said:

Same here. It's no big deal, really, and like I say, you don't miss out on many credits at all.I agree the circuits are more pleasant because you can just keep going round and round, though.

I think that each week its been a matter of slap as much power on a floaty barge and best tuner wins, all credit to Cutters. I gave the muscle car a miss because if i wanted to waste a week getting frustrated by an overweight pig that makes a lot of noise id just speak to my ex every day.
It is just for fun but let's not kid ourselves, people are hell competitive for this and you can see hours upon hours are spent by a lot people and so at least with a standard car, absolutely no changes, you can concentrate on the driving no the car or tuning choice.

Just one more go then I’llA) do some work
B) go to bed
C) etc
Tbh in the main game all the cars I like driving are a class lightweights with minimal tuning. Doesn’t seem popular for a competition.
I did like the peel as it was mental and made for a fun time waste. Half a lap of calm followed by a spin of the wheel of fortune. Also liked the Porsche as it handles reasonably well and rewarded proper racing lines.
I think it would be good for someone (weekly winner or random) to share the tune for their favourite car. We play their car and their track. Would mean having to adapt to different preferences on setup and drive accordingly, could be interesting. We also get to take the piss when people do badly on their home turf as it were.

This is my vote for next one:
Car: McLaren F1
Track: Waterhead Sprint
Tuning: None allowed, not even tyre pressures.
Aids: None allowed.
When it was the winter trial challenge a few weeks back I four wheel drived it to S1, it was a monster in the snow Car: McLaren F1
Track: Waterhead Sprint
Tuning: None allowed, not even tyre pressures.
Aids: None allowed.
I beat everyone by like 10s, Ron Dennis would have been spinning in his grave.
