An interesting comparison would be to look at the amount of credit earned in rivals mode, this would give an indication of how much time people have spent on rivals alone. It's displayed on the loading screen and can be accessed in one of the game menus.
Too much...
Likewise, since I found this pistonheads rivals thingy i'm not sure ive played any other part of the game. It's so annoying, "just one more lap, it'll definitely be a clean fast one!" nope, ah ok just one more.....

I got a little bored of the rest of the game (apart from Fortune Island for some reason, I really enjoyed that map), and getting stuck into Rivals brings a new dimension to it for me.

I do seasonal races when there's a new car to win like the GT86 or Jag iPace, other than that it's these rivals races.

Same here, in for the new cars and rivals events, nothing else to do really.

Me and my mate try to do some of the seasonal events together, where we create silly cars to enter in to them, but that's about it.

I've just checked, it's on the Horizon Life tab in the main menu, then stats and under the general tab, scroll down for the figures.
Credits from rivals 10,889,551
Laps completed in rivals 4,457
Sure there will be a few smashing those numbers. hehe

I mostly only play for new exclusive cars as I've got all the cars and completed the main game a while ago. For a while I was getting 100% on each festival playlist, but stopped that too.

For a game that is over two years old still be this enjoyable and still be receiving regular updates and new cars is very impressive.

I reckon that means i must have got my xbox for christmas about 3 years ago with forza 7. I must have spent about a year or so playing that and then Horizon 4 came out. Does that mean a forza 8 is around the corner does anyone know?

The next Forza will be a Series S and X game, probably next year, they've shown a few clips of cars on a track in the promos for the new consoles. I'm not 100% with the Xbox compatibility whether the new console games will run on Xbox One with the shiny things turned down a bit.

Hopefully it will work on old xbox's not sure i'd necessarily want to upgrade, but was just thinking about it and I seem to remember being shocked at the £40 odd quid horizon cost at the time it came out, maybe even nearer £50, with it being the first computer game i'd probably bought in about 25 years but considering how often it goes on its amazing value!

It will be working on Xbox One up, with enhancements for One X, and Series S & X

Crap, I'd better get a few more laps in! Maybe now lock down is easing here I might start performing better, nearly all of my sessions on Forza have been after a few beers, and most of my beers have been north of 7% for the last few months. Might try some assists too though, only did one session in the R8 so far but slid into walls far too often.

There's something odd going on with my Forza. Session to session the grip levels vary quite a bit. Just had a 10 minute go and the first corner I had a lot more grip and could brake better, last night I just had no grip at T1 and would lose loads of time braking for T1 against my ghost.

haha, I haven't. But yesterday was getting annoyed because I was nowhere near my own time, today I feel like I could take a couple of tenths off.

Actually, I was 3 car lengths ahead on a clean lap then did a stupid exit and lost all momentum out of the penultimate corner. Could've been a close to cutters lap.

You do know that the hacks cutters uses detoriate over time? It's why you have to keep buying the new ones.

The most annoying corners for me are as follows

1) the 3rd corner, fast left hander where you need to cut the fence to carry enough speed but the amount of times I've ploughed into the concrete barrier is so annoying, even if I'm at the same speed and trajectory as the ghost im following.

2) the fast left hander just before the penultimate corner, car likes to drift out wide and again clips the concrete barrier.

3) the last corner, it's not hard to make the corner but it's hard to make it very fast, I hate the little annoying rocks (or whatever) on the right hand side of the entry, if you clip them it throws your car out). Also if you clip the wall on the way out it tends to flag your next lap.

I find that corner OK, if I really open the corner up and hit the telegraph pole I find that's my best line and time there.

Yeah, the next lap flagging is annoying. I find going to the left of the gate and really wide on the exit and patient on the throttle gets a load of speed over the line. My best is 134 over the line.

I find time wise it's T1 where my time is, but then I just always lose the lap through something stupid later on. I need more than the odd 10 minute slot.

Clip that depressingly shows how much time there is in my lap.
