Tried a few different ones tonight, various sizes and power levels, could get to low 54s but no more. Am I missing something with the Hoonigan Bronco, it's close to 720 so I can't do much with it, and it's not really any different in times to other stuff I drove.
I added weight to the wheels to allow some more points to be spent elsewhere, i hit a wall at low 53s so switched to the Jeep.

Same, I haven't tried the CJ yet as wanted to try and be in something different, but I've hit a wall in the low 53s too.

I hit walls and miss checkpoints in the high 54s laugh

I was chasing djjuk for ages yesterday but he nails the last corner so well and I can't outdrag it to the line, its a close one!

Don't pay too much attention to the power figure, look at torque.

Don't go wild on tyre width.

Aim around 830kg for weight.

3 speed is all you need.

I hope that's vague enough. Reading it back, i sound like an automotive horoscope hehe

I've really had no time this week, am currently chasing redundant cast iron foul pipes that have been left boarded up in the house.
And I'm behind on my schedule for lesbian time travel fiction too.

Well you understand the trials I face then hehe I'm trying to write a party scene that sets up a serious sexual assault in a few chapters time, that leads to one of the girls killing someone, which is then undone by time travel but leads to the protagonist taking a few steps down the road of psycho badasserry.

It's time consuming (ho ho).

Those top two times are incredible!.

Still not tried the CJ5 jeep and not sure if I'll really get chance today. I've wrung the defender as hard as I can, I don't think it's got much more time in it.

I have a feeling you or CT (or anyone who is good with the MC) could get the Jeep to low 52s if you put your mind to it.

The Jeep is a bit more nimble than the Defender but maybe not as consistent/precise with lines.

I admire your faith! But I think you yourself are more than capable of you think there is still something in it. I've had a go this morning, but have been stubborn and tried to get more out of the defender, I've shaved a few tenths off but it really is on the limit now and still some way off.

I don't know if I'll try the CJ or not, last time I tried it got another challenge I hated it lol

The CJ is definitely less precise than the Defender. With the Land Rover it feels like you can hit your braking/throttle marks every time.

The CJ gets knocked off line by the scenery more than others if you cut too much, i guess because it's so light.

I'm at the diminishing returns point so that's me for this challenge.

Good luck to everyone!

Yes, I'm literally just going round in circles at my limit every lap so I'm done.
Not enough to grab a point but never mind, I dont really stand a chance each week anyway laugh

That’s me done too. I spent about 50 laps chasing Sp4cekadett and eventually managed to scrape just under 52.5.

I can't do a faster clean lap (managed 1 slightly faster but clipped a barrier) and I've got handcramp laugh

I'll probably have a last go tonight, but this afternoon I couldn't get any faster than I already did, just lots of low 54s.

Seeing you set that first time above the Subaru was a shock how far ahead you jumped, fair play.

I keep trying to stay away but it's so addictive and annoying rotate

I've got a suspension service due on my DH bike, so off to the shed.
