Instead I bought a Dino which was disappointing for this challenge, but still looks nice.
The big Bentley is faster than it ought to be, which makes me wonder about the old DLC Mercedes SS..
There's also the DLC 356 Porsche..
I promised myself i wouldn't pump any more money into this game though.
I struggle to drive the rear/mid engine cars (Dino/356) cleanly on the dirt part which is a pain as on paper they should be really good.

GTA has been fastest for me so far. My first setup for it was my usual all chassis mods setup and I knew that wasn't right after the ghosts left me for dead on the tarmac straight parts. More power and less chassis helped get me where I am, but I'm battling the PI a bit to get the power in the car at A730. I'll try the Ferrari tonight and try the Maserati again.

The Merc is surprisingly decent. There's also the DLC 356 Porsche..

Just for posterity. Don’t think I’ve ever been top 5, or will be again. Appreciate it’s early in this weeks challenge cycle but put some extra time in tonight as the GTA would be my favourite lottery win car in alfaholics guise.

I tried the Dino tonight the handling was great but it struggled up the hill, swapped to the Alfa and beat my best time on the second lap. What set ups are people using ? I’ve got a supercharged 2.0 and it’s really slow until 5krpm then it fly’s, it’s only about 240bhp off the top of my head

Seems like the GTA is the car to have, I tried the Maserati, it should have been decent based on the specs but I couldn't get close to my own GTA time. Shame though.
There were a few other cars i wanted to use first like the XK120, Maser, Cali, Merc 300SL but i could only get them into the 17s not under.Seems like the GTA is the car to have, I tried the Maserati, it should have been decent based on the specs but I couldn't get close to my own GTA time. It's a fun track and car choice but early days so far

When you're up against these absolute units that populate the top 10, something i learned is don't rest on your laurels.When you think you have set a good time, try again.
Only a couple of days in and the top few are separated by basically a bonnet length.
