Well done everyone, what a total mix of cars smile

Its always something random and with so many to choose from I just stuck with the sunbeam as it just kind of worked and was good to drive.

Well ok then... smile As Street Scene has been in for this season, we may as well finish on the biggie, with the 'Holy Trinity' cars

Season 4. Round 16.
The Marathon (Street Scene). 2013 McLaren P1, 2013 Ferrari LaFerrari, 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder. S2 998. Any mods, any assists.

P1 picks next.

  • If not everyone has or can't afford a P1/918/LF from autoshow or auction house, I'm happy to expand it to S1 or S2 Ferrari/McLaren/Porsche with mods to S2 998. Ideally just the trinity cars though. As it's 998 are we doing split PI levels for MC, M and A ? If so, can someone work that out too, I'm out now until later this afternoon.

I've set a time in a standard P1, it's not great but it's clean.

laugh good boy.

I say we just keep it at S2998 across the board as its pretty ballistic as it is, I dont think a few pi will make difference.

If everyone's happy at that then let's go for it.

Season 4
Round 15 of 16
Cotswold Road Rally Trial (Dirt), Any car 30K in value or under (no free), S850 (A), S845 (M), S840 (MC), Any mods, any assists.
FINAL STANDINGS

Top ten above blue line, 11th to choose the final round.

Congratulations to Kitch88 for the win this week! Wish I had more time for it this week, I liked the course and think I could've been up there, and there was a good selection of cars to go through.

Updated table to follow..
Fantastic time by Kitch, well done, a hard fought battle this week with the leader changing several times since Saturday. I didn't go on again after my last post, but I don't think I could have beaten that time even if I had tried. Well deserved.

Nice to see a variety of cars again. The 5PI loss for Manual with clutch is interesting, on cars converted to 4wd there is no penalty by having manual only so it's a free 5 PI, however in cars that are 4wd as standard the time lag is evident, I noticed it yesterday when I tried a Lancer.

This sounds like hell to be honest, Street scene and S2 does not go well in my book, S2 is beyond me, just too fast/manic. But I'll certainly give it a try, we all have weeks that we like/dislike after all!

There's always one sneaky NPC car round a blind bend - not too bad when it's one of the early corners, but bloody frustrating if it's near the end of an epic lap!

That said, I'm quite enjoying it.

This would be great in daylight, with no traffic, and a medium S1 car hehe

Got a banker of 7:00 to find that whilst I was doing it, ajprice was going 6:30. Just stacked into the trees at 71% whilst ahead.

Just got down to 6:27 with a few very iffy bits so there's more there. I swear the traffic was fine when I did my test lap in the standard P1 hehe . On one run that I bailed on and didn't finish, I was stopped at the right turn junction at 40% waiting for a car to pass before I turned hehe .

A sub 6 is definitely possible, problem is you get a good first half in and then nurse the second half so you don't ruin all the good work you've already done! laugh

It's really tricky with the bonnet cam too, these cars are so low that a good amount of the course is more blind than usual, particularly the uphill section.

Nah, it's not for me. If it were S1 I'd be loving it but S2 and cross country are my two hates of this game.

Just to manic and pretty random car behaviour too.

If you are still not using any guide lines cheese then you deserve to win regardless of anyone elses time.

On the original horizon I got pretty good at some of the super long routes but it took a lot of time to learn them, I was much younger back then too!

haha, still no driving lines here! I've not tried the other 2 but the Porsche is brilliant (also managed to pick one up for just over £500k on the AH so a lot cheaper than the other 2 as well), very composed all the way around.

I'm not sure what to say really.
3 hours of game time, 1 whole complete run.

The only complete run I did i spent about 25 seconds sliding off the road and ending up behind a house, luckily I didnt slide past the checkpoint but pretty passed to have lost so much time on the only run that counted.

I doubt I'll get any points with such a crap time but you never know if everyone is having trouble with actually completing a run.

Not sure if I want to try again at this point in time, especially knowing I can do the times but there are cars here there and everywhere.

Keep at it DT!

My hit rate for good laps was at least 1 in 10. Now you've got a time in, race your own ghost, it's what I was doing this afternoon. There will be places where your ghost dodged traffic or whatever where you can jump ahead of it now, keep doing that and get a few seconds each time.

I also hit traffic a few times on the last section, 95% in...

I had two goes on the Ferrari, first go I hit tree beyond 80% , second go I hit a car early on but decided to use rewind and carry on to see what potential the car has, by no means a perfect run but used rewinds a few times and was nearly 10 seconds slower than Cheeses time

Turned it off then, this might be one where I don't bother, but it's early in the week so let's see.

laugh.

Thanks, at least I know roughly where I'm going and I know where I lost horrendous amounts of time.
I also think the Porsche is faster so might try that again but with my own tune instead of someone else's.

Its a tough one, can't believe you were getting 1 in 10, I literally got 1 successful (ish) run in 3 hours, god knows how many attempts, just unlucky mostly with stuff on blind bends.
