Forza Horizon 4 !
Discussion
I wonder what the next car pass cars will be. From the details on the pass it makes it sound like there will be two new free cars every week and the calendar thing is supposed to show what we'll get in advance. Well this week we got the Civic rally car and that crap i8 Roadster, but nothing is in the schedule for next week. I wonder if this is yet another bug.
I did the Corrado weekly challenge this morning, getting the 2 million points didn't take that long once I upgraded it to S class, made it RWD and bombed up down and the motorway doing e-drifts and near misses for 200,000 a combo. What a shame for all the people affected by the bugs last week where progress on the 7 million point total for off road vehicles, putting millions of points of work in only to find the game wasn't tracking it properly. There seems to be some sort of curse of stty development with the Forzathon things, my mind goes back to FM7 and the Forzathon things that just didn't work properly and then were switched off for ages while they tried to fix the system, only to be re-launched to find they still didn't work.

Post Office vans. Postman Pat's van, the Royal Nail Ford Escort to get a MK4 Escort in the game... any others?
If they do the PO vans, I hope theyre fitted with binary throttles and brakes. One or the other flat to the floor at all times.Pommy said:
Sweet! New hats!So today I've just spent 4 hours going up and down the long stretch of road to get far west of Derwent Water - it runs from village to village uninterrupted and is just a magnificent place to test every car and in manual is so engaging. Really makes the joy of the game come alive
Observations:
McLaren F1 - fabulous
911 Turbo 3.3 - surprisingly slow
NSX-R - sublime - I'm in love
Aston V12 Vantage with the big wing thing - just lovely
Aventador SV - so good
F40 - twitch
F50 - not as quick as it sounds
488GTB - fast but twitchy
VR6 - takes a while to get going but then 'ok
720S - not that enjoyable
Chiron - mega fast but detached
TTRS - quick but detached
911 GT2 - fast but rear biased of course
Volvo 850 T5R - feckin slow but handles alright
M2 - fast, nice handling but a bit floaty

I have a PS4 and an xbox. I play Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa and GT Sport on the PS4 as I have a Thrustmaster t300rs wheel and its all good.
I'm loving the look of this game but would need to play it with my wheel so that means investing £300- £400 on a decent graphics card for my PC so I can play the game with all the pretty settings turned on.
Question is : would it be worth it? anybody on here play it on PC with a wheel? I'm not expecting Assetto Corsa levels of feedback but do you get some feedback through the wheel?
If its naff I could indulge in Assetto Corsa Competizione I suppose and get Wreckfest and others(Man Maths etc)

What cars do you prefer sound wise? For me personally how the car sounds is a very very big point in me wanting to drive it.
Currently I'm driving the Carrera RS 2.7 a lot. Engine modded fully, without FI and the camshaft only to stage 1. It has 350hp and 400Nm of torque and the sound on full chat from 5500rpm onwards is just heavenly.
I had bought the 458 Speciale hoping for good sound but it just sounds...muted. Very disappointing.
So, which cars can you recommend for a good aural experience?

The Ferraris 250lm or 330 and when in manual mode not auto as it extends past the red line sound glorious.Currently I'm driving the Carrera RS 2.7 a lot. Unlocked the barn find you get from the castle, which is the perfect car to finally use those otherwise useless top hats and moustaches with. Then I find out they don't appear when you're driving. Bah.
That's strange, my top hat shows when driving, maybe only in a drop-top car though…Pommy said:

I'd be tempted to buy the Drive Hub wheel adaptor for £90 to enable you to use your PS4 wheel on the Xbox. It's £90, but a lot cheaper than upgrading your PC gpu to something good enough to run this game appreciably better than the Xbox.I'm loving the look of this game but would need to play it with my wheel so that means investing £300- £400 on a decent graphics card for my PC so I can play the game with all the pretty settings turned on.

I have just upgraded my PC graphics card, but I am only using FH4 on the Xbox One X so far. It looks so good on that it hardly seems worth bothering setting it up on the PC.
