my advice would be to use something faster than the Chiron (Better 0-265 speed, not top speed) and use a lot of re-winds think I used a Agera RS. If you do it in the Bugatti Veyron super sport you get an achievement as well smile

Won the 917 using the 918 in the Porsche cup last night, looking forward to some test driving tonight!

I finally won the Porsche Cup the other night. I've got a 968 which is at the lower end of S2 class, and having spent a long time tweaking it, I felt it was up to the task. It wasn't.

So, I hit the auction house to look for the cheapest Porsche I could find (I'm not really into them, bar some of the older stuff), and ended up with an '04 996 shape GT3. Up to 966 on the PI index after throwing EVERYTHING at it, and I then spent an hour of my life trying to make it handle (because it really didn't).

The first two attempts ended in failure, because I kept throwing the first event down the drain by driving into the trees and missing checkpoints. The car was a real handful with the quick changes of direction, and the remaining drivers on my team kept quitting as they weren't doing much better.
Third attempt on Monday night, and I managed 4th in the first two races, and 2nd on the last (I'm actually not too shabby at the Edinburgh Station Circuit), which finally won me that sodding 917 hehe

I'm not a fan of S2 class at all, it never feels balanced and is just too powerful for most of the circuits in the game.

havent played this in a while but have been putting in the hours again recently. do some of you guys still regularly play this, would like to take this online with people who wont actually ram me off the road, or use my arse as a brake
I try to be nice ... then get run into or pushed of the road (usually at a checkpoint)

Your pretty much forced into bumping your way to the front

Races need to be longer by at least a lap (if not 2) to give us a chance at a grown up race

Took me 5 goes to win the 917

Tried Carrera GT, Cayman, 911 GT2 & 918 all tuned & all too fast

Used a tuned 944 in the end and just aimed for winning some points rather than non

Race's need to be longer and the starting grid more spread out ... I don't like to barge my way to the front, but thats all you can really do

I ran loads of people off the road during this "challenge" ... not sure if any of them where on my team cos I have the "names above cars" stitched off

Yer there too much

I use car's tuned up to B700 for as much of the game as I can ... mostly my 2 Fast 2 Furious Skyline or Escort RS Turbo thats converted to AWD

How are you supposed to complete the Top Gear Elise challenge in 1min 20 seconds? It isn't possible following the route it maps out as far as I can tell.

It is driving me nuts!

first left after the gate and go over the reservoir bridge thing. there are videos online, but basically the route you are given wont work. once over the reservoir, it will re-route and you can do it with 5-10 seconds to spare.

same with the Merc challenge.

The Merc challenge was a pig, took me so many efforts to do it. Ended up following the railway line from the first point to the top of Arthur's Seat, or whatever the fk it is.

Ta - now complete.

The Merc challenge is annoying me now - I nearly always stuff it on the way back down and it ends up limping along at 50mph frown

I'm off to try the railway line suggestion

I turned round immediately, went the other way around - the commentary even calls you out for doing it

Seasonal Forzathon tip - Fiat Dino in the shop for 550fp.

I just bought one and immediately sold for 4m in the Auction House.

50% completion of winter gives a 1990 300Z/Fairlady which ill keep but Auction House has them at 6m, a few weeks ago at 12m. So a rare and easily gettable car.

I've got 3000FP so might get on a few of those fiats

Think I've got a fairlady too so I'll hopefully get a bit for that too

Made more than 15m in the auction house this week just getting rid of duplicates - the Mustang RTR was the biggest surprise! All you have to do is play the game and you get all of these cars, I don't understand who's buying them

I swear that Forest Sprite trial was bugged. Tried it multiple times, but even on the lowest difficulty you can't catch the lead rider.

The multiplayer trial things are a pain up the arse. You have to wait around and you need the rest to be half decent. I'd rather spunk some credits than waste an hour or two.

Am i reading this right about the 917LH.

I wasnt able to play enough during the season to win it.

Is it gone forever or does it come round again to try and win?

If its a one week event, that's a bit st, given i have the VIP pass and car passes yet there are heaps of cars you cant get if your not playing 100% of the time.

They always come round again eventually. Just takes time.

Itll also turn up in the Auction House soon.
