Source code is irrelevant as it can be backwards engineered with the product anyway.
I would hardly describe a company getting all it's IP spewed all over the internet irrelevant. You certainly won't get the same level of insight simply decompiling an exe... They said very clearly that they aren't going to negotiate so they're obviously not that bothered, otherwise they'd be doing anything they can to get the data back.

Secondly, and notwithstanding that reverse engineering the source isn't possible in any meaningful sense (decompilers, as already noted, are massively limited and compromised) actually leaking the source code won't have any great impact on them in the long run. It's a very long way from having the source code to having a distributable copy of the game, so that won't be massively concerning them - although there are indeed probably proprietary techniques and patterns lurking in there which they would rather other people didn't see. But anything truly revolutionary would be covered by patents so again, probably not the end of the world.
But more than either of those, it's the principle of the thing and I hugely applaud CDPR in the stance they have taken here. Full disclosure to the press, restore from backups (which in itself is a good advertisement for their internal processes and infrastructure) and two fingers up to the scammers. End of the day, if people didn't pay then the scammers wouldn't do it - so every single organisation that hushes these things up and pays over the money makes it worse for the whole world. So whilst obviously it's not great that they've been hacked, it's a lot more common that most people think and the way that CDPR have owned the actions from then on has been absolutely exemplary.

I see CDPR has been "hacked", with the perpetrator threatening to release the source code for the games. Some irony in there I think. It looks like the source code will get leaked - will be interesting to see if the Internet scowls over it and finds various fudges responsible for the performance issues.
This a second time? I know they were hacked and threatened two or three years back and refused to pay.I think they have played it the only way they could. Just be up front about it and just accept the loss. No point in crying over spilt milk. But that's the recipie for your entire product they've stolen, and what other IP did they steal, things in the pipeline?
Looking forward to seeing if there are any comments in the code from tired, frustrated devs, as well as things they may have bodged.

I suppose the only concern CDPR have with this hack is the hackers fixing the game.
As I havent played it since December, have the recent patches made it any better on ps4 slim?
From what I've seen the recent patch has introduced more bugs.As I havent played it since December, have the recent patches made it any better on ps4 slim?
Then later all but my head, calves and feet had gone it's a weird game

Maybe I need to play the Uncharted trilogy for a while longer then.

Rumour is that a Nomad Netrunner was responsible.I can't make up my mind about this game,I am enjoying many aspects of it but I think I am around half way through and see no reason to replay it.I play a mix of gunfights and hacking and I am not seeing any reason to either go whole hog on either or to play another style, mind you it is very very rare I will ever replay an rpg which demands huge time investment.

After 200hrs in-game I've decided to start again but this time with three new characters - a Corpo, Nomad and Streetkid - and have specialised them to make the game harder - Corpo - Netrunner Cyberware and Silenced Pistol only.
Nomad - Unsilenced firearms and explosives with no cyberware.
Streetkid - Melee & Blades only, and with Kerenzikov Cyberware (slows time).
and I'm only playing the main mission with each, so approx 40hrs per person with no side gigs etc and with the game set to hardest difficulty.
I found in the past that, once you are around level 25+ and have 1-2 legendary weapons/armour etc the game becomes far too easy so this my attempt to limit myself into making the game much harder.

Same as you sometimes I enjoy it others it bores me others it annoys me. I sure I won't play again as any other character but will likely do the dlc. My nomad who is a 25/7& mix of hacking/shooting people on the hardest setting. The mod you have all been waiting for, now you can drive the motability scooter - https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/1576

Have started noticing the bugs recently. Prior to this didn’t notice them. Not sure what’s changed with the last couple of updates.
I played through a streetkid game on all versions up to v1.06 and messed around with other things with further updates and only had 2 gig missions bug out so nothing bad. Now started a new corpo game on the latest 1.12 update and I have seen more bugs on the same missions that were clear on the streetkid playthrough including missing voice dialogue with Judy and River on two missions they are connected by phone to me, doesn't even give the subtitle either. Plus for quite a few hours on loading a save I have been getting Johnny saying a line from hours ago who's subtitle stays on screen (even with subtitles off). Have to turn cinematic subtitles on and of to get rid of it. Again never happened before. I don't know if they are new to 1.12 or if for some reason a corpo playthrough is more bugged. I haven't tried a nomad.Trustmeimadoctor said:
Well I can't find anything else to do now can't finish cyberpsycho missions and I can't defeat the last beat the brat even when using my gold baseball bat
There are still some ncpd missions but that's it
Have you progressed the story? To get 17th psycho i had to continue on a bit. Cant remember which though. There are still some ncpd missions but that's it
