I am at the point in the story where it asks if I am sure I want to proceed with the mission as I will lose all the unfinished side missions, which has meant me moving round the map doing all the side missions and tbh it's pretty dull with little variety.
That isn't quite true. When you start the decision mission, you have to progress down it without taking a break and doing other missions, but after completion of it with any of the many game endings, you are then taken back to the pre-decision place to carry on with any missions you have left and any that you have yet to start. This makes complete sense when there is DLC coming.

You should always save before the decision so you can go back and try different options for the ending too.

For those waiting for it and unaware - patch 1.2 has been delayed till mid/late March. Official reason is a combination of the results of the hack and the amount going in to it.

I've lost interest in this game now, although I had completed it and done all of the endings.

Started playing Ghost of Tsushima afterwards, and it's shown me how a game does side quests etc properly so they don't feel like they're just surface level "go into this property and kill this person or hack this computer" stuff. It's like night and day.

I love the aesthetic of CP2077, but you definitely don't feel the years that apparently went into it.

Have also stopped playing until another couple of updates.

Need to find something else to fill my time now.

Not been on Cyberpunk 2077 for ages. Recently purchased a Google Chromecast with Google TV (the new Firestick like Chromecast), Stadia isn't supported yet but found a way to sideload it so have given Cyberpunk a spin tonight for an hour or so. I usually play it on the normal Chromecast Ultra.

"I walked the line" took me a while to do, in the end had to watch a few youtube videos.

I've left it alone until more patches/updates hit.

I'm at the "call Pan Am" stage in the story, keep her waiting

I'm doing the side missions until the next patch lands.
About 40 hours in.

I might just play it and then reset it fully and do it again, once I've learnt more of the game play, there's a hell of a lot to take in on this game.

I'm on my 4th run-through (200+hrs now) and knowing how the game "really" works (something which usually takes some time) makes the earlier gameplay and story choices less important than you'd think.

Storywise it's still enjoyable but once you know how everything ends and how it gets there, it gets a little odd seeing certain characters and their stories again.

I find all the "chat" between missions tiresome.

This is a cool mod, new loading screen for fast travel that takes you up and along like GTAV.

Obviously changes depending on location and time of day for your current location and destination.

That's pretty damn cool.

It does beg the question though - if that replaces the loading screen for fast travelling, what is being loaded that the whole map can still be rendered? smile

Cores, SSD, magic, wibbly wobbly stuff.

No idea, but when I tried it last night (at night from the middle of the city) the time between starting travel and arriving at the new location seemed to be the same time as a static reload screen.

Perhaps during the normal loading screen the whole map is loaded anyway in low res? I have seen a brief glimpse of a low res LOD arrival location immediately after starting a fast travel on the static load screen default.

CD Projekt Red have posted an update on some of the fixes in the upcoming patch, complete with videos showing the differences. No mention yet on when the big patch is due or what else is included.

Wish they spent more time on the update and a more clearly defined release date than releasing a video. Just my opinion.

The expectation I've seen is next Friday and for it to be large but contain little or no new content, just concentrating on fixes. Think this was meant to be a reminder they are working on things as I think it's been at least ~3 weeks since they last said anything.

Thanks, assumed it was soon, but not potentially next Friday. That’s good news. Will give it a few days post fix to see what the reviews are.

I think in the fullness of time CDPR will come good with Cyberpunk and it may end up being a completely different game. They have a good track record with DLCs (The Witcher 3 DLCs are awesome, particularly Blood & Wine).

Problem right now I guess, for me at least, is that the appeal of the game has pretty much dried up. Other games are coming out soon to distract me and others.

I normally try and Platinum game but I haven’t felt compelled to do another playthrough with this one for some reason.

Even if it was working perfectly at launch, it wasn't anything special. I've already forgotten what the story was even about.

Finished it once but had no impulse to go and do any of the other endings.Overall a big let down ,the story did not grab me nor did the gameplay.
