To save me reading the whole thread again has it been confirmed this will be a free upgrade on the next gen consoles, if it is purchased on the current gen?

I'm going to wait until this is released and the reviews come out before purchasing. Games are so hyped up these days and I got burnt pre-ordering No Man's Sky a few years back.

Yes, there was a bit of budget creep as I went for a 3080 over the 2070/3070 that I was planning on (my fault for not having a hard budget cap in the first place).
So what are you going to do when you have all the parts except for the 3080?

I am planning on a new PC build, but until you can actually buy a graphics card I don't see the point in ordering the other parts

I'll carry on playing games at a slower frame rate and lower graphical quality on on of my other machines.

I suppose I could just use the RGB as mood lighting for now.

Well if you have the budget and the time, PC is always the way to go.

Yeah I already have the PC but do I play sat in the 'man room' or on the 49" 4k TV in the living room on a big comfy chair ... Decisions ...

Either put the PC on a trolley and move it from room to room as required, or get a big TV and comfy chair for the 'man room'.

...or go VR and have the effect of a big 4k screen, but without the need for a big room/TV.

biggrin Man room not big enough for comfy chair ... It's snug ... Moving PC.... Non starter it's all plumbed in and beside the Mrs wouldn't let me ...

Have a Rift S and would love if it had the effect of a 4k screen ! Is CP 2077 VR enabled ?

So.... Xbox or PC then ? Performance wise I suspect both will be very similar i've not really played with keyboard and mouse for a long time so that's not a problem ...

I think sitting in the comfy chair is going to win on this occasion ... I see battles with the wife over CP 2077 and Mid Summer Murders ahead ...

I've not even got a man room, it's 'The Office' - luckily I'm the only one who needs to use it to work from home. But it currently has 2 iMacs and a work-supplied Z-Book.

I've got the same chair I bought for 'The Office' over 10 years ago - but it's an office chair rather than a gaming chair...but I do spend 12-18 hours a day in it.

My new PC will take the place of one of the iMacs (which is what I've been gaming on in lockdown..using W10 in bootcamp)...but I'll be sticking to 1440 ultra settings for now (as I don't think I 'need' a 4K monitor to go with the 4K/5K iMacs). Just got to decide whether the 27" 1440p monitor needs to make way for a larger/curved 32-34" one wink

Yeah I had that decision on the 34" ... Ended up going for a slightly curved 27", 1440p 144Hz Samsung with Gsync as the main gaming monitor.... I had also bought a 29" LG Ultrawide about 6 months previously .... If I hadnt I would have probably just gone for the one large monitor ..

Nonsense. PC gaming is great - it's all about overclocking, cooling, spending £££ on the latest shiny shiny, trying to build something which doesn't crash all the time. And of course downloading patches. Let's not forget the patches.

You can keep your consoles. Plug in, turn on, play - where's the fun in that?!

Nice. Very nice. Although (and I guess the comparison is inevitable) - that video makes it look a lot more GTA-ish than I was expecting.

But mainly - just release it already!
