I've just splashed out for the game on release (now 10th Dec?)

As mentioned previously I normally wait a bit for a game to release, bit cheaper and updated.

Fingers crossed!
Do you have a slow internet connection ? If not and i've said this before why pre-purchase ? I makes no sense to me at all !
£35-40 for the disk which you can sell after or £50-60 for a digital version? No brainer to me.
Perhaps you misunderstood my post ? I’m talking about pre purchase. Making sure something performs as it should before handing over my cash. That’s a no brainier to me.

General feeling is the game is finished on PC and could be released now, but it's porting it down to consoles that's been causing problems, specifically to the Xbox One S. They probably want to release on all supported platforms at the same time to avoid spoilers.

They've only just released gameplay action on the Xbox One X and the Xbox series X, no S footage - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yQ--nrwy5w

I’m beginning to wonder how much longevity this game will have. I think it’s going to get played through once then never touched again (like red dead redemption 2, or take your pick of the fallout games) What are your thoughts?

Well, I played through Fo4 multiple times and then spent even more time playing with settlements with the "Sim Settlements" mod and according to Steam have clocked up 968 hours on it.

Fo:NV clocks in at 314 hours for me.

So, I would say it is very much down to the individual.

It’s got inbuilt replay-ability with the three different character types. Whether the story and world will be compelling enough to play through again having done it with the first character build I’d pick remains to be seen!

Since Cyberpunk isn't a one route game, it has consequences depending on the players decisions and the missions played it will be different each time you play it and many different ways to play it. They have said there is even a full playthrough route where you don't even have to kill anyone. So just one playthrough will be a waste.

I enjoyed Mafia 3laugh

Not pre-ordered any game for years, but I've asked the Mrs to get me this for Xmas (PS4). Still hoping...

I wonder what it is about the One S in particular that is causing them issues. It is a bit odd they're still struggling with last-gen consoles, given the game was announced in 2013, which is when the Xbox One/PS4 were released.

It seems that there's multiple pathways depending on which choices you make and what not, I can imagine playing through it 3 times with each different "starting point" and then in each case picking opposite decisions, if that makes sense.

So if you pick the wanderer or whatever it's called
You can be a big bad meanie, killing everyone.

If you pick the street kid, I'd be more relaxed and trying to be more holistic.

So it would probably have some replay value.

In the same way FO4 had some fairly different missions depending on which path you went.

I wish it was on Gamepass frown Yeah I know there is no chance of that and the reasons why at the moment but I'm used to playing games on the Xbox then picking up exactly where I left from upstairs on the PC.....

Still undecided on which version to buy Xbox or PC .....

I might have to wait a while for the version comparisons before buying.

If you have a PC, why on earth would you not buy it on PC?

PC is going to be a far superior gaming experience in every way, better graphics, faster to load, more flexibility for any future mods, better control options, enjoying the game on a proper monitor not a rubbish 50Hz Television with 15MS response time ...

It's Series X enhanced, it won't be as refined a as PC but I suspect it'll do quite well

Even if the game is available for both Xbox and PC on Game Pass, there's no guarantee that saves are cross-platform (as I found out when I tried to continue my Outer Worlds PC session on the Xbox).

Also, DLC bought on one platform does not automatically entitle you to it on the other - unless it's part of a complete GoTY Edition on Game Pass. So, I'd have to buy all the Forza DLC again if I want to transfer my gaming from the Xbox to the PC with all the same locations/cars - even if I've already bought those cars, and they're in my garage. At least the cloud saves work across both systems in FM7 / FH4.

1) Series X
2) I'm limited to the amount of time I can play downstairs due to others wanting the TV
3) I like to pull the nice big comfy chair upto the nice 48" 120hz screen for that cinematic experience
4) I have a nice 5.1 Dolby surround setup downstairs
5) I will be playing on Joypad on both
6) I don't care about mods

7) PC is running a 2070S / 3700x so should be pretty much comparable to Xbox I would have thought
8) I can play on PC whenever I want which is pretty much the only benefit for me I can think of until I see reviews on performance

I agree with the above. Especially this year. I have an excellent PC but this year I've spent far more time on the Xbox than over the last few years. I just can't face more time sat on my desk playing on the PC where I've spent the whole day working

I just watched the latest gameplay trailer and it looks amazing. I'm tempted to pre-order on steam and I never normally pre-order games.
