this should help you. R9 3900X - R7 3700X - R5 3600X side by side benchmark for gaming. Running an RTX 3080.

Very little between them in gaming.

I have a decent PC and a pretty comfy chair but the lure of the big comfy chairs downstairs and large tv plus new hardware ( xbox ) will probably win this time ... I might wait to see which platform runs the best.
Something to look into might be streaming to the TV via GeForce Now, Cyberpunk on the big screen in full ray tracing ultra settings. Something to add to the list for checking out regards getting GFN to your TV and bandwidth required for full options.

It's going to be on their GFN servers the day it's released - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/gfn-an...

General feeling is the game is finished on PC and could be released now, but it's porting it down to consoles that's been causing problems, specifically to the Xbox One S. They probably want to release on all supported platforms at the same time to avoid spoilers.

They've only just released gameplay action on the Xbox One X and the Xbox series X, no S footage - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yQ--nrwy5w

Since Cyberpunk isn't a one route game, it has consequences depending on the players decisions and the missions played it will be different each time you play it and many different ways to play it. They have said there is even a full playthrough route where you don't even have to kill anyone. So just one playthrough will be a waste.

I have a 2080Ti and 1440p monitor so I'll have to see how RT performance goes since it's pretty bad on the 20 series cards
Cyberpunk also has DLSS so turn than on. I never have any ray tracing problems with RT & DLSS games.

FYI : Ray tracing has been activated for Pascal cards from the 1060 upwards. But since they don't have dedicated RT cores they have to do the ray tracing with the normal processing cores, the results aren't great.

Could well be wrong, but they've said numerous times previously not to expect a huge map and it was a tighter but more dense experience instead. Considering the fidelity of it I'll be very surprised if it's anywhere near the size of the map from GTA V but I could well be proven wrong. Not long to find out.
Doesn't need to be huge, so long as it is dense and atmospheric. I mean, look at Deus Ex Human Revolution / Mankind Divided, or the Dishonored games.

I've rather that than the sparseness of Fallout: New Vegas
As you can enter every building and access every floor the surface area of play is going to be huge. Night city is almost twice the area of GTA V's Los Santos, so ground area will be huge anyway at 24 square kilometres.

Even better then. So long as it is dense with lots of flavour items, rather than sparse and generic with loads of re-used assets.

Just completed the preload and this is what greeted me:

Settings, date & time, turn off automatic and manually set to 11th December and see? I have no idea if that will work as it might need an internet connection to say it's the 10th.
