Wow. That's pretty damning. "Bethesda were so lazy that they couldn't even be bothered to cut & paste the work done by modders [on Fo4] and incorporate it into their own game engine"
Ouch.
I wasn't tempted to buy it purely on the multiplayer aspect, but some of those reports really do stick the knife in and probably justifiably so.
So if anyone from Bethesda can extract their heads may I suggest the following, combine the scavenging/weapon/armour making of New Vegas and give us a huge land to roam like in Fallout 4 just an awful lot bigger.
Although my one purchase may not save you from ruin I'd like it

I've only just seen this, they are taking the piss, really they are - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IcqE8kT3KA
I bought a cheap additional xbox to play online with the mrs, if you have the digital copy you can download it again for free, which almost makes up for the fact I could buy 2 physical copies for what I paid!
Certainly some work to be done with it, similar to no mans sky, a good concept just poorly executed. Not all bugs are bad, if you equip / unequip pocketed armour quickly you can get your maximum carry weight into negative figures which gives you an unlimited carry weight. Much more enjoyable when you can actually carry more that a few things!

Angry Joe's review is a must watch

Watched the whole review, so glad I didn't buy it. How could they release something so bad?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjrDbSgB9IU
After Red Dead Redemption 2 looks like I'll re-run New Vegas and Fallout 4 again.

Wow. That was... thorough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjrDbSgB9IU
"“Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating Bethesda Game Studios for releasing a heavily-glitched game, Fallout 76, and refusing to issue refunds for PC purchasers of the game who found it to be unplayable because of its technical problems."

Basically PC users asked for a refund, was told by support they are working on it, then replying again to say that because the game was downloaded he was not eligible for a refund, despite the 30 days notice they have in their terms and the fact that you can only download the game on PC. There is no DVD, there's no DVD even in the steel case DVD presentation box that some people paid $200 for.

I knew from the off that this wouldn't be for me. The warning signs have been there from the beginning.
It's quite bad what Bethesda have done. Another game publisher getting too big for their boots?
They have stated the engine will be the same for the next Elder Scrolls game. Jeez, they are being quite foolish.
Not refunding people is a st thing to do.

I think the most damning criticism is that this is a mere "asset flip" of Fo4 and exhibits the same bugs that were reported in Fo4 years ago, and which have been successfully fixed by the modding community, yet have reappeared in Fo76.
Especially when Bethesda claim it is an all-new engine and vastly superior to Fo4, when it clearly isn't.
I thought charging full price for Fo4 VR and and Skyrim VR was taking the piss, but this is a whole new level.

Indeed. Do as little as possible and roll it out as a full price product.
Bizarre that they didn't even use the fixes created by the modding community.
I wonder what the twerp who is head of Bethesda is thinking now. He probably doesn't care.
Probably, but will do when the finances start taking a hit! Milking their customer base, it’ll bite them in their arse though!Bizarre that they didn't even use the fixes created by the modding community.

What happens next is key. If the game isn't fixed in the next few weeks Bethesda will forever be known as the company that releases too early and doesn't support their game.
From Reddit it sounds like they're trying to dampen the bad press by promising regular communication after they realised staying completely silent was doing them no favours.
It feels very similar to Destiny 2s release.

This article is a little more constructive. Rather than just laying out what is wrong, it makes suggestions on improvements.
