PH GT Sport Hot Hatch Shootout
Discussion
I thought I would try and inject some life back into GT Sport on PH by organising a test event to see if people like the idea. I also thought it would be a good idea if the chaps at “Half The Race Gone” on YouTube did a live commentary of the races for us as we are playing. You can see their channel here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCagKBcZxhT9Im-_I2...

Sounds like fun, unfortunately I know nothing about tuning, I couldn't see anything about tyre choice? If you're short on numbers and consider running a standard class and I'm not on a late, I'd give it a go, put me down as a definite maybe
At a quick glance I guess the Clio would be my pick
Psn trevonick if you want to add me.

I forgot the tyres. I have updated them as Racing Hard. Im not very good at tuning either but I have the MINI set up ok with just everything a bit stiffer (rear a bit stiffer than the front). At a quick glance I guess the Clio would be my pick

I've not tried any road cars on racing hards, I can imagine they'd be a bit grippy! If I get on later I'll do a lobby with those settings, I'll put PH in the name if anyone wants to join.
Are you allowing shifters? It makes a significant difference to lap times in those cars.
I think its negligible when you have a race box on. Its just a bit of fun so I dont mind if they do give an advantage. Are you allowing shifters? It makes a significant difference to lap times in those cars.
Cars feel ok on RH, sequential gearbox is great! Lobby available if anyone fancies it, Pistonheads Hot Hatch, had to change the category to N300 to allow for the tuning.
Are you using the default fuel setting? It means a pit stop to complete 15 laps.
Races were fun..If anyone's interested I was doing low 51's and 1.45's in the Clio.
@Allaloneatron If there's a pit stop needed at RBR it might be worth allowing mediums.
If anyones like me and has no idea about tuning, I just set the G/box to sequential and lowered the top speed, stiffened the roll bar and suspension 2 clicks, and toed out 2 clicks (I've no idea if this is any good) car was competitive in the lobby.
Tried the same settings on the Mini, it's 1.5 secs quicker than the Clio, I had to fuel save like mad at RBR though to keep it on one stop, it's good on it's tyres though!

This was the first event of this kind that I've done, and it certainly had a different feel to it than the usual daily/FIA/lobby races that I'd normally do. The tuning was a first for me and was much simpler than I anticipated, my Clio was as good as any of the other cars, which was a nice surprise! The driving standard was really good, people aware of other cars in qualifying, and no desperate do or die lunges in the races, the longer races gave some time to settle in which I really liked, I'm currently B/S and the highest DR I've been is 36000 so you don't have to be alien fast to be competitive. There's talk of a series starting in the new year which sounds great.
