Its not even the size of the drive thats the problem, if you have a playstation or even an X box you just shove a game in and it just works, anything to do with microsoft and you have to become a PC genius just to get even the basics going, who wants to spend half their life googling problem after problem just to do a simple task, even the windows 10 PC's are constantly doing some update or other and taking your valuable time up, its so frustrating.
I've followed a guide on how to uninstall and reinstall it but when you go to the microsoft store the game is supposed to show up in your library and you click install but there is nothing in the library, it just says to add some games yet when I click on the purchased tab it shows there as a paid game but no option to install it.
The game has now vanished into the ether, I've paid £60 for absolutely nothing, just a few electrons that have now disappeared up gates' arse.
It is part of how MS copy protect the games. As a suggestion - go into Device manager, click on view and "show hidden devices". Expand your "Disk dives" and see the list of "Xvd" devices. These are the game installs. You can remove all the "greyed-out" items one by one by right clicking and selecting "uninstall device". Reboot and try to install the game again via the store or the xbox app. I've followed a guide on how to uninstall and reinstall it but when you go to the microsoft store the game is supposed to show up in your library and you click install but there is nothing in the library, it just says to add some games yet when I click on the purchased tab it shows there as a paid game but no option to install it.

I think generally though it’s part of the whole PC vs console thing too. On the PC you get more options and community content and better graphics if you have all the gear but the console is usually much easier to just get into a game and play it.
Still an awesome flightsim though and well worth any issues for me anyway.
Looks like world update 4 (France and Benelux) isn’t too far off now, I downloaded a ship download that puts loads of real ships all around the world, makes the seas look much better imho.
Nice to see the sea transparency being worked on around islands with reefs etc, some of the Bahamas and other areas are looking fantastic now.
Reports are suggesting that the Xbox version will be the same as the pc one with all the same market etc. If so that’s going to be great.

The biggest problem with Microsoft games is the utterly ludicrous inability to copy and paste the files elsewhere and reinstall. Each game of theirs I have is effectively an entire day to redownload if there's a problem. No other operation puts their punters through this and it's astounding Microsoft think it's still acceptable.

Careful you are only allowed to say how great the game is on this thread ! If I had known that at the time I wouldn’t have started it
So I'm not allowed to say the flight model is so bad that even the graphics cant balance how bad it is.Good to know.
Right I've managed to get the game to show up in the store now, I had to follow a guide and use powershell to uninstall the store app and re-install it. I then managed to uninstall FS2020 and re-install it and it still said insert disk. I then followed another guide that said add an exception for FS2020 to windows defender, this now works and it loads but it wants to download the whole 150gb file again.
At the moment my C drive is a 120gb ssd, all the oculus games are on a 1TB conventional drive and the maion bit of FS2020 is on a 500GB M.2 drive. What I'm going to do is get rid of the SSD and use the M.2 drive as the C drive with FS2020 on it, 500GB should be enough for the C drive I hope.
Its a pisser though because of the amount of re-installing that needs to be done. I really hope that the oculus games don't need downloading again though. Also I'll bet all my button binding on the joystick need re-doing along with the VR graphics settings that took ages to get just right.

Anyone got the T45? There’s some great red arrows liveries for it.

Not tried it for ages going to have another go today now I have my pedals.
Well .... I've just been flying around Florida in P3D with ORBX TrueEarth scenery and done the same with my fresh Flight Sim install with the 152 ...It certainly feels more solid than the last time I tried it .... I don't think I'm going to be able to go back to P3D :-(

I think I might prefer the MB-339 as I like the steam gauges. I will say that for the addons to be at such a high standard already speaks well for the longevity of the platform imo.https://www.flightsim.to/file/10180/red-arrows-rep...

Yeah I’m sticking to the mb339, it’s great to hoon around in, and waiting for the B787 from quality wings which I think is coming in the summer, as the standard one isn’t going to get much love in the upgrade package.I have bought the microlight and the piper Seminole as I’ve got a lot of hours in that and it’s pretty decent.
I’d likely be tempted by some helicopters and maybe some other seaplanes though.
There’s actually a lot in the store that temps me but I’m trying to wait until they’re on offer as it seems to happen now and then.
I'm still waiting on the RC buggy shocks to finish my DIY pedals. Supposed to be here a week ago, now saying 8 weeks.
Think I will have to order different ones and modify the design and reprint the holders.
Also starting on my cockpit. Rather than do a specific plane I'm going to make a genetic panel, with screens. So can have a glass cockpit or steam gauges. Working on a 6 axis throttle quadrant for flexibility, struggling with my CAD skills currently.

Sounds awesome keep us posted. Think I will have to order different ones and modify the design and reprint the holders.

I’ve been messing around with mine and made this.
It’s not that impressive but I’ve only got a small room for it.

My wife was going on about moving house again. I CBA, but she should me one with a massive room about the garage and I did find myself thinking, could fit my flight sim in there.
