Well, that's a shame. I'll guess I'll have to wait to see how their streaming service pans out...

Still having major problems with this game, it seems that if the manage to eventually fix one issue with it they immediately create another 10. My latest issue is the Rift just cutting out now, it plays for a few minutes and then goes to a black screen, if I play normal Oculus games with it its absolutely fine.

Honestly if anyone is thinking about getting this then don't unless you like spending hard earned money on something that will take hours and hours of your time just to get a couple of minutes of play out of it.

I suggest you fire it up mate and pray it doesn't dump you into the MS store! Check my earlier post! I still cannot get it to install after uninstalling it, I've followed all the recommendations for sorting it that i can find but no luck, People on the MSFS forums have resorted to fresh W10 reinstalls and still cant get it to install, Asobo/MS need to sort this stuff out ASAP.

Working great for me at the moment. Not tried VR again for a while though.

I thought it had improved loads tbh.

The MB339 seems to be stuck in a updating loop though where it won’t complete the update from the last available update.

Might have to delete and re download that aircraft?

So thats £500 for an xbox series x, £250 for the controller, plus the cost of the game and any DLC.

Kind of takes the fun off it, despite how beautiful it may look.

Yeah I read about those probs but I’m not really bothered at mo. I have P3D for civ stuff and most of my gaming time is taken up with the Xbox and DCS.

I didn’t waste any cash on it just on Gamepass.

Although the yoke looks awesome and it’s a neat solution with the customisable thrust levers/throttle I think I still prefer a joystick that twists for rudder.

The rudder on that yoke looks to be some switches at the top of the columns?

It’s probably great on some aircraft where you don’t use the rudder much but not so great on others?

I suppose ideally you’d have both but that’s a lot of space and money etc

Obviously the pc promo videos weren’t quite the same as the final product . . . . but . .

Wow.
In a way I hope they treat it like a totally different product to the PC version.

I can have VR and a fully clickable cockpit on the PC but on my console I just want to chill in a big comfy chair with a beer and have a laugh.

It will be interesting to see how they handle purchases. I have a few ORBX scenery products I've purchased for FS2020 from the FS store which should be OK I would have thought but how will they handle study level aeroplanes I wonder ?

I’m hoping all the marketplace stuff will be available.

I’m guessing all the study level aircraft will be available through the marketplace also?

I meant from a usability viewpoint for the study level stuff flying with a HOTAS, mouse and keyboard is a different proposition to a joypad.

Mind you I'm looking forward to this more than the PC version !

Take my money and give me an F14.... that will be my Xbox series x purchase justified right there.

I’m assuming peripherals like the yoke earlier or Hoyas etc will be available?

I thought initially it would just be a dumbed down version and used a joypad but all the recent information suggests it will be much the same.

Like you I’d also be happy just having a boon around with a joypad but seems like there might be more involved options also possible.

Not too long to go so hopefully there will be an Xbox beta for people to get their hands on,

FS2020 Possible future DCS competitor ? That would make the Combat Sim market interesting ...

I guess hardware will be available but i'm not going to be spending another 500 quid for an Xbox HOTAS. a) The Mrs would kill me and b) No room in living room anyway.

Of course not everyone will have the Xbox in the living room i'm just lucky enough to have the best of both worlds.

I'll be staying well away from any beta's this time biggrin
