Top Gun expansion?

sold and Sold.
Take my money and give me an F14.... that will be my Xbox series x purchase justified right there.
Play DCS instead.
I don't think that's fair really I have the DCS Tomcat and it's certainty not something I'm finding easy to get my head around !

I have a feeling the Top gun expansion for FS will be aimed at a different audience.

Lets hope they let you blow #hit up !

FS2020 Possible future DCS competitor ? That would make the Combat Sim market interesting ...
Looking back at the MS flightsim timeline they’re due another combat flightsim again. Maybe that’s on the cards? Would work very well with the entire globe available in such detail for campaigns and battles etc.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I had all the MS Combat Flight sims and played 1 and 2 to death. Last one was a bit disappointing if I remember ? Don't think I played that one much.

3 Was a bit bloated I think. Loved Janes WW2 Fighters and European Air War which was probably my favorite from that era. Also have Cliffs of Dover now but have never really gelled with it.

Spit and Mustang in DCS are great although Spit is a total bh to land ! I discovered that 40 years of simming has not helped me.... You know when you jump in the cockpit and you just know you are going to be an expert ... er no ....

Yeah I had forgotten those as well !!! Didnt they come in a big box with a ring bound manual ?

I think we should have a dedicated thread to discuss all our old sims, post vids and generally reminisce ... Probably just us two sad oldies on it hehe

Tbh I was in the Far East so mine came in photocopied manuals and a bag of floppy disks from a shop in a really dodgy shopping center in Hong Kong called the golden arcade. It was about 4 floors of pirate computer shops, I don’t think anyone then in HK owned any genuine software or computers. We had an apple 2 at one point which was branded pineapple.

You could buy game boy cartridges with about 50 games on them, I remember my mate getting thrown out of a shop once for trying to haggle too much and the old Chinese woman then wouldn’t even sell it to him when he offered more than the normal price. hehe

We did have genuine consoles like the Atari 2600 and game and watch and game boy though.

I had a BBC B and I think it was quite expensive compared to the specky etc but it hardly had any games for it and as a kid all you wanted was to play games. Where as the BBC was more for turning people into the next Steve Jobs, god kids are stupid.

Did you guys play 50 missions crush?

This was a great B17 game where you bombed the Nazis but you had crew positions that got upgraded, I think you even named them so it was sad when any died.

It was an early version of B17 Flying Fortress.

Seems like it wasn’t that popular.

Will this work on a rather old Xbox One S, does anyone know?

If so, I might wipe the dust off mine and give it a go...
Afraid not.
Cloud gaming coming to XBone apparently.
So, sort of. You stream the game to the older console. Like you can do to tablet and/or PC.

My first time was Apache on the C64. Then Apache, Falcon and MS2.0 on my Atari ST.
I spent ages searching for scenery discs for FS2, and flew all the way down the US East coast. Need to go back up in FS2020!
Have since had most flight Sims since.
For WW2 I think Il-2 is best at the moment, especially in VR,and it's Flying Circus module is awesome for WW1
