Does anyone use a reverb G2 for this. I have a Rift S and whilst its good and the immersion is excellent it is still slightly pixelated, you can tell things are compromised to get it to work.
My TV is only 1080p but the image and scenery look stunning on that and if that was replicated in the G2 then I would be happy with that, I know I'll need a better GPU for it all to work though.

Yes. It very definitely is a vast increase in clarity but for me at least the sweet spot is so tiny I'd happily give up plenty of it for that to be increased. I pretty much cannot move my eyes. If I want to see something the whole head has to move or it's a blur. Maybe it's head shape dependent.
Even then it won't be anything like a 1080p monitor in your eyes. It still has that shimmery VR look and the world looks more plastic and grimy than a normal monitor.
I'm going to get rid of it at some point soon. It's still 1-2 generations away for me.
If it's a big stretch for you to get it I wouldn't bother myself. If you're upgrading anyway then worth a try I guess. It might be everything you want.

edit to say usually downloads at about 230 currently sat around 60.
