On the PC I had to cheat with “auto refuel” assigned to a key on the Alaskan bush trip because the fuel pumps didn’t offer the option for refuelling.

El Stovey: I loved the French bush trip (good Lord that sounds wrong hehe ). Only downside was it made me miss the place as I used to live in the South West, especially flying over the dunes near Arcachon smile
I don’t know that area but I remember flying low along the beach during the bush trip and seeing all the beach huts and campsites etc, it looked a great spot.

It so realistic though, I’ve frequently had weird feelings of being somewhere I know or used to live.

It reminds me a bit of the feeling you get visiting familiar places using Google street view in VR, it’s so realistic and immersive.

The French bush trip is great, there’s everything in it.

I’m doing the discover Denmark one at the moment, the scenery looks great but it’s a bit dull but as there’s no terrain so you can do most of it under 1000ft.

I get the feeling that some of the recent bush trips are made by different people as they seem a bit more ‘fly from a to b to c etc’ rather than telling you more about each place and finding some challenging landing spots etc.

Sim update is out today and quite a few bush trip issues look like they’re hopefully going to be fixed like the VFR map and disappearing poi and tracks after the first leg.

A big dollop of content coming next month - https://www.flightsimulator.com/coming-soon-micros...

Five free aircraft plus plenty of other bits and bobs.

The Reno air race thing launches at the same time I think. 60 bucks seems like a fair bit to me but you can get the planes only for less.

Has anyone had the issue where the A320 dies on you about two hours in flight? Apparently the checklist is incorrect and the generators on automatically so whilst following the list, it actually turns them off, not on!

That sounds rather inconvenient.

I’ve found some new issue where when I start the flight in the air near an airport, the carenado WYMF5 engine isn’t actually operating so you have to do a rapid restart making it exciting. Cue random switch flicking and key turning until the reassuring engine sound starts again.

MSFS currently available on the icelandic microsoft store for £25 for the basic version and £50 for the premium deluxe. Just bought the premium deluxe version and its downloading now, albeit very slowly.

Does anyone else use the H135 helicopter? It seems a bit broken after SU6 and shakes like merry hell above about 70kts.

It says it’s compatible with the update but the comments say otherwise. Hopefully a decent fix will be released soon, I find the helicopter a great way to see how beautiful the sim is. Especially in the cities

Can’t wait for the roflcopter (or whatever it’s called) to come out next month.

No helicopters in the Xbox yet.

Just loaded up for the first time in a while hoping to get a quick flight in and see this. It's world update 6. Though for some reason it's an 82GB download for me frown

Better get on the PS5 instead biggrin

Help Please smile

I’ve downloaded on my xbox and wondered whether there is an ability to have marker points for approach or even the destination.

I tried a small flight yesterday set off fine but promptly got lost.

Is this possible?

Thank you

From the World map it is as simple as picking departure and arrival points, clicking fly. This data will then be added to your nav log and you simply follow it - no instruments needed. You can bring up the VFR map for that, although I've no idea what button does this on X-box, you can probably assign one if required. It then makes it easy to follow the route.

If you want to use correct departure, in-flight routing and arrival information and follow waypoints you can set that using the navigation options, then by selecting the runway of choice it'll vector you for landing on that runway. You can then use ILS, R-NAV for guidance down to touchdown or simply hand fly it down.

There are many tutorials for using various navigation systems in MSFS on YouTube, on various different aircraft so I'm sure you'll find something useful.
