With the lack of variety, no Bearcats, no Sea Furies a pack of 10x Mustangs, 10x T-6, 10x L-39 and 10x Biplanes in the Reno pack (basically 4 aircraft with different liveries) is still over priced at £50 but apparently it's 86% off, the original price is £350!. I bet it won't ever go "back" on sale for £350 and if it does no one will buy it.

The aircraft are pretty simple too, many switches in the cockpit are non-functional. So I'll wait for a proper P-51 release from A2A.
They’re not just different liveries they’re all copies of actual aircraft, I thought it was a pretty good deal tbh and am really enjoying the air racing and flying the different aircraft around generally.

The T6 is a great aircraft for some touring.

Have you tried out the DX12 Beta? I have it on but I can't say I've noticed anything. Thought it might improve reflections, but as you can see on the last image not.

I've been down on HMS Hermes in San Carlos Water with my Sea Hawk smile

I play around with development a bit and that side is well and truly busted for now.

In general I'm not too keen on the idea of game streaming, but for this particular one it would be an utter delight to have someone else deal with all of its crap.

This update took 8 hours for me to download and having the thing break or go weird every 6-8 weeks is getting really tedious.

Massive sale in the marketplace loads of aircraft and airports with big savings . . .

Tempted by 33% off the islander or even the bird dog. Blackbox the creator do seem to get some pretty poor reviews though.

I think they've turned it around. They've been super responsive with the Islander.

It was some Airbus from a previous sim that was semi abandoned that attracted all the ire.

Hi

I'm expecting delivery of my new PC any minute and when it arrives I intend to download Flight Sim'.

I'm not a pilot or computer nerd! Any tips before I start?

Do I need to do something to use Google maps rather than Bing?

Cheers, Bob

I wouldn’t do anything with Google maps.

Just download it (start in the air at first) and have some fun and then maybe try some of the lessons in ‘flight training’

All these extra planes & downloads etc - I assume this is just for PC playes?
I've got an Xbox SX that will be getting unwrapped on Xmas Day and will be getting MSFS straight away.

I've seen recommended that you don't install it in the default directory,so it lessens the chance of an update completely fking it up

No they’ve both got the Microsoft marketplace in the game where hundreds of pounds worth of dlc and extras will be waiting to tempt you.

On the pc there are more things available in the marketplace and the PC can also add non marketplace content.

Anyone playing this on Xbox yet? Just watched a few videos and it looks pretty damn close to PC….I must admit I’m impressed! I don’t have a gaming pc but I like the look of the £29/month all access thing, I hear it’s pretty easy to get hold of an Xbox Series X so shouldn’t be any trouble getting one for Xmas wink

It's working! Wow, that's quite a first update, 128gb!

My ye olde joystick doesn't seem to be recognised so I'm having to map every function, fun!

I've successfully flown over my house in an F18, may have slightly landed on my brother's house!

Well I’ve just pushed the trigger on an Xbox series X and the 2 year game pass thing for my son *ahem*. I’m sure when he’s gone to bed he won’t mind his old dad playing a bit of Flight Sim.

Looks absolutely fantastic and really quite excited about playing this on the Xbox. Looks like it graphically is pretty much on a par with the PC Ultra settings, which is just amazing compared to the cost of a PC that can run it on Ultra. Just curious how well it works (or not) on the game pad or whether I need to throw more cash at a joystick? Also wondering what additional content is available should my son *ahem* wish to purchase the Hawk or DC6 wink

Is this all available for the Xbox too? I’m super stoked about the Hawk as I had a go in one a few years back and the Just Flight version looks amazing. I gather though that the Xbox marketplace isn’t anywhere near as comprehensive as the pc one though…
