All free content too. Amazing game really.

PMDG 737 is pretty good and possibly the nearest to ‘study level’ or more accurately - high fidelity so far. Haven’t seen the a320 though.

Anyone else tried the Concorde yet? I bought it on Xbox today and it’s bloody good.

Edit after a few more flights:
Had a couple of F18s try to intercept me as I was at Mach 2 going to Scotland and they couldn’t get as high or fast enough hehe

It’s an absolute bd to land though!

Blimey! Is that the quality of the graphics!

Top Gun pack is great fun! I also bought the Sukhov Su-57 Felon as well (think it's was on offer at £6.49), as it's the 'baddie' plane in the new film. Nice plane to fly in the game actually -- you get a nice vapour cone as you blast through Mach 1, and there's also blue/green/red/white display smoke you can play with.

Can anyone recommend a HOTAS device for a casual Flight-Simmer on PC? We moved house recently, and at the moment just don't have space to play with my current Logitech yoke and throttle quadrant.

This Thrustmaster looks ideal and is only £60.

Cheers

That's the one I've had for a couple of weeks. Compared to using the Xbox controller, it's night and day. Good value.

There are youtube videos that will help you tweak the settings.

Related note - how do I trigger the hook when landing on the carrier?

I use that too, and for Elite Dangerous as well.

You can order the pedals later if you feel the need. I'm finding the rudder quite easy to use, just twist the joystick.

I finally contacted Microsoft after getting fed up with the game crashing just at a critical moment of getting on to a glide slope for landing (mostly with Concorde), or sometimes as soon as the sim has loaded and you need to click that yellow 'play' button in the bottom right corner. More than 50% of the time, the game crashes back to the Xbox home screen.

They advise to uninstall and reinstall the game. Seems to have worked so far...

That's where mine typically crashes, as soon as I've clicked fly and I'm in the cockpit, boom back to Xbox desktop.

I've turned off live traffic and multiplayer and it still happens.

It would take me two days to reinstall it hehe

That's the only thing.

It initially seemed to crash more when I had all the live traffic/players settings enabled and reached a high traffic area such as Heathrow or LAX or Tokyo etc., but not every time. Very annoying nonetheless.

It crashed more than Cyberpunk (which was utter dogst)

It's annoying that the game has to be running and you can't be flying to install all the add-ons too.
