Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
Discussion
I've been building a DA62 home sim for some time. I had some help with the main design files. But it's been a learning journey with 3d printers and the like. I'm disappointed I didn't go the CNC route and add backlighting but that can be V2.
Anyway the main panel is finished in terms of construction. Next step is wiring and programming. That will be easy as it's more my background. Am concerned about how much noise I'm going to have to deal with on the circuits, especially with the screens. Lot still to do with the garmins in terms of knobs and encoder holders etc.
Then I've got the pedestal to worry about with a motorised trim wheel, throttle controls and rudder trim. Plus a joystick.

Yeah,B-52 is a really stty cash grab. Too shiny, no smoke, no outboard wheels, no cockpit.
Typhoon is great though although if anyone is tempted, don't get it from the marketplace as it won't have weapons..learned my lesson the hard way on that with the F-16!
Feeling really daft now... where are you getting the additional planes from outside of the Marketplace? Typhoon is great though although if anyone is tempted, don't get it from the marketplace as it won't have weapons..learned my lesson the hard way on that with the F-16!

The DC-6 is amazing. I second Justflight and also recommend Orbx. Their installer let's you keep stuff up to date, and they have other developers planes there too. But you have to pay in didgerydollaroos!
Flightsim.to has some free planes, as well as some total crap. Also thousands of liveries.
Forums like avsim, flights in.com, and sim-outhouse (my favourite) are handy for highlighting good planes

I've yet to come across a scratch built freeware plane that feels properly rounded. I almost always sample them and then delete them. But I'm not surprised. It looks like a hideous amount of work and a very steep learning curve compared to scenery.
