How's everyone finding the ATR?
I really like it, I'm finding it pretty intuitive to use and has some pretty nice features. The autopilot didn't really seem to change flight level very well to begin with but after a couple of flights it seems okay now, apart from that issue I can't really fault it.
There's a lot of criticism online about it but for the cost (cheaper than some of the Captain Sim stuff!) I think it's fantastic.
I'm just hoping some liveries find their way on to Marketplace soon cool.

For some reason I hate the 72 but love the 42.

I find turboprop throttles a right pain but I'm about as casual a flyer as it's possible to be. I tend to turn off the engines and head to the ground at 90 degrees rather than wait around to do that landing stuff.

I had a few tail strikes during take off in the 72 laugh, apparently it doesn't appreciate the same take of angle as an Airbus. I've never tried the short (sport?) one yet but would guess it's a bit better.

I found the Xbox controller to be a bit st with the throttle control the first couple of times but it seems much better now, not sure if it actually is or if it's just a placebo.

Has anyone else experienced GPU issues with the latest update?

For the first time I've experienced a heat related application shutdown, upon inspection everything on the PC is fine - all fans, coolers etc working as designed, no dust build ups... but hitting M1.4 in the F14 above Poole and it went mental, never had an issue before.

(i9 10900k, RTX3090, 32GB ram)

Funnily enough I noticed the fans were going berserk yesterday when in the main menus. I didn’t get time to play as I was installing the Australia scenery pack.

I’ll take a look later.

Same here - it was running hard in the menus, and in the update screen.

Suspect a broken FPS cap somewhere...

There's a low power mode in the experimental menu that you could try.

Or a FPS cap in the general Nvidia settings.

I love and hate this game/sim in equal measures I think.

I flew back from BRU-MAN yesterday in real life, so just now I've done what any normal person would do and recreated the flight on FS2020. Chose the A320 NEO, depart from BRU and land in MAN. I took off fine, but as soon as I started to bank left at a reasonable angle and pitch, my speed just drops to about 180. I then point my nose down, and I'm assuming something is auto-trimming as I can't get the nose down without lowering the throttle a bit. So I fast-forward time to MAN approach, which actually then transports me to 1000ft above the Etihad at 400kts. banghead

Conversely, just done a sundown flight from RAF Valley in a Tornado over Snowdonia and it flies almost perfectly.

Is it me? Or the aircraft models I'm choosing?

As much as it winds me up I've just spend another £20 on content laugh

Does anyone use VR with FS2020? I've got some Amazon vouchers and quite like the look of the Pico 4. I believe the HP Reverb is really well optimised for FS but is a bit more money than I'd like to spend.

Yea, with an Oculus Rift

It was no good on an RTX 3070 or RTX 3060Ti, constant screen tearing, now working acceptably on an RTX3090

Cheers - I'm running a 4070. I think I'll bite the bullet and see what it's like. I can always return it.

Still building my Flight Sim shed, slow going.

Bought a load of plasterboard the other day, did a bit of wiring of the sockets and network point today bits sooo hot in there.

Going to get a couple of days leave and attack it.

The Dune one is... odd. But pretty cool.

2024 is highly unexpected.

There'll be a lot of sad add on owners and developers unless previous stuff can be dropped in.

It seems like they're toting it as brand new but I can't imagine they'd want to run two sets of servers.

I'm guessing 2024 is an updated version with more in game systems hence all the job based things shown and since FSX stuff can work in 2020 with a little fiddle with I'm sure 2020 and 2024 stuff will be interchangeable. Maybe free update? Maybe small cost update for 2020 users?
