Mine is just bemused at the whole thing and expressing concerns as to reduced storage capacity for her many plastic storage boxes of craft stuff.
And the occasional query as to its purpose, implication of this being a plywood palace of self pleasure ! Rather a time consuming and expensive project for that.
Just tell her the big silver pole is because you always wanted to be a fireman …. And the occasional query as to its purpose, implication of this being a plywood palace of self pleasure ! Rather a time consuming and expensive project for that.

I am hoping for a discount at some point in the next few weeks so might give it another go - what are peoples thoughts on it now we are a couple of years in?
When I tried at launch I found the physics very arcade like - have they been improved?
It's superb.... I was in the Alpha and Beta and it really put me off. I had nothing good to say about it. I now pretty much exclusively fly the PMDG 737-800 / 600.When I tried at launch I found the physics very arcade like - have they been improved?
Uninstalled P3D and couldn't go back.
Stick Gamepass on for a month to try it out.

I fancy a bit of GA action and have been watching reviews of the new Black Square Bonanza which looks superb when I noticed they have also created the Velocity XL which is a strange looking thing with Canards on the front.
My all time favourite GA aircraft in P3D was the RealAir Lancair Legacy because of its great range and cruising speed.
The Velocity looks like it may tick those boxes with a 400hp piston engine giving it a 400mph top speed and a max range of 1600 miles.
£20 on Just Flight .... I may give it a go I don't suppose anyone else has it do they ?

Ok. The official news is that Flight Simulator 2024 will be a new sim that you will have to purchase, but all 3rd party add-ons and FS marketplace purchase can be installed or transferred over without paying for them again.
4 years between 2020 and 2024, it was only 2 years between FS 9 and FSX.
I hope it will seamlessly ( lol ) upgrade the old version on Gamepass I don't fancy a 2 day install.4 years between 2020 and 2024, it was only 2 years between FS 9 and FSX.
Had a play with my Rift-S today with the 4070 wow that's a pretty amazing experience !
Hedge hopping in the Cub just a massive improvement from the old 2070S.
Not used it for ages and started to feel a little motion sick so will have to break myself into it again. Looks like the new GPU will breathe a bit of fresh life into my VR-Experience.
Running with everything on Ultra I was getting a few micro stutters and a bit of choppiness when looking left or right so looks like I need to refine the settings in FS / Nvidia.
The PMDG 737 Cockpit is just glorious in VR !
I just wish the Rift had little more resolution but I suppose I cant really complain it only cost me £250 I couldn't really justify replacing it for the amount of time it gets used.

What do you guys use for controls, I have the Saitek yoke and pedals but my main issue is all the minor controls and finding the right key in time when needing to be quick.
Thrustmaster pedals and warthog hotas I did consider the Thrustmaster yoke but changing from stick to yoke would be a pain.
Also use a Rift S and headtracking when not using VR.
