COD modern warfare

Got this the other week and just finished the single player campaign - If anyone on PS4 fancies some games give me an add.

I am a veteran of all the older CoD games, i only played single player on the silly jumpy about ones

Currently bouncing between this and Red Dead Online

Does firing your gun without a silencer/suppressor show your position on the mini map (when there isn't an active UAV etc)? I mostly play Ground War and it doesn't seem to, but then on TDM it does...

Not sure if it shows on Mini map but shows on the compass heading at top of your screen on all game modes.

It certainly shows as a red splodge on the compass at the top...bigger means closer.

A good map and I am pretty sure back in the day it got turned into a Festive map during the Christmas Period. Christmas tree's, snow, lights the lot. A rather nice touch.

I am also quite happy with the maps they are bringing out, not charging for the DLC and releasing old maps is good in my opinion. It has been said for years that the old maps are best.

Thanks. If I remember correctly, in COD's of old that was always the trade-off:

• Equip a silencer but suffer a drop in damage/range
• Go without, but show up on mini map to nearby enemies whenever you fire

If anything this edition some of the silencer's extend damage/range?!

It also seems to be too easy to carry 2 main weapons - in previous COD's this was another trade off...I think if you selected the Overkill perk you couldn't select the UAV jammer perk.

Yes, now I am at level 70 and officer I have a very high end M4 that can rival a sniper but be silent plus I have a massive shotgun or sniper rifle etc, plus 6 perks.....it makes the game much easier and I have gone from 3-6 kills to regular 29 kills per game.

i have an m4 with predator barrel that seems more accurate and less recoil, than the marksman barrel. I'm level 105 k/d 1.8

finding it hard to enjoy, seems so laggy now. my internet is 40mb but every game in the past week lag has been really noticeable.

Someone explained that 40mb does not guarantee lag free, it depends on latency and other things, apparently a 20mb connection could appear faster if other parameters are better???

I seem to be struggling with a lot of lag recently too, not sure whats changed?

Also it quite often seems to go really slow and run at about 10fps

I've often shot an enemy in the back with hits showing and then for me to die...then on the killcam they don't get hit once from me?

Slightly frustrating but still enjoying it...looking forward to the new maps

I play casually and love shoot house 24\7 as well as tdm 20 Euphrates bridge. Having some really good games now.

Turned on last night and another update so just slipped into the campaign again, ended up finishing it last night, really enjoyed it actually considering its not the main thrust of the game

Still very much enjoying multiplayer, some maps work whatever the mode Euphrates others like Shoot House are absolute carnage in Domination but ok in TDM

I am enjoying Hardpoint, certainly stops the campers

Can't say I'm enjoying it as much as I used the older games. Maybe because I'm awful!

Another update means I've had to delete something off the hard drive, only got 3 games installed!

I've started to really enjoy it now, mostly playing with the marksman/sniper rifles and running around. Makes kills feel much more rewarding but you barley break a 1.5 kd.
