Yes I did the training. My mistake (my own fault) was thinking the guy I was following to the ground was on my team. I might try plunder and see how that goes for a bit of variety.
Yeah its quite hard to tell initially, they normally have a green/blue icon above if they are on your team, seems like no team kills so I am shooting first

On Plunder you are basically searching around for cash, once you have an amount you can go to a helipad or get a balloon pickup, if you die you lose the cash unless you have deposited it, winners are team that deposit most cash, I had some success loitering near a helipad earlier

I had a few games last night - I'm similar to above, I play hardcore usually so going back to normal bullet sponge mode took a bit of getting used to.

Managed to get a few good games in with randoms though.

Map is huge! Got down to final 10 a couple of times to just die from people camping which is always fun

Seems to be a lot of LMG's in the weapon boxes? I like the loadout drops means you can use something you're used to

I'll use the term "loitering" next time I'm accused of being a camping ******* biggrin

Think I'll give that mode a go tonight. Sounds like it could be more fun.

Basically MW2 has invented Fortnite! It's good though, I've only played once, on battle royale , and it's got potential to be good if played with friends

Played a few games with randoms this morning. It's much better when you can communicate, managed 7th as a best result but would be good to try and play with some PHers.

I managed a good few games last night with friends which is key playing Battle Royal mode. You need to talk to your team mates so you get armor or if you need them or to buy you back into the game due to a failed Gulag.

I have won a battle royal, luckily only 2 where left and they come running from behind a wall to beat the gas on the final circle. Easy pickings for 3 of us but it was down to luck as we where in the right place at the right time.

Has anyone noticed any performance issues since the patch on the PC?

I can see certain parts of the battle royale map getting spun out into their own games and maps - e.g. hospital.

If they wanted to, they could totally decimate the likes of certain survival shooters as well with these maps.

I don't have the patience for Battle Royale types of games so I've been playing Plunder more. It's like a massive Kill Confirmed with a bit more tension - great so far. Only annoying thing is the lack of leaderboard at the end of the game. I wanna know how well I've done and who's come out on top. Otherwise what's the point?

Br isn't for everyone.

Luckily you have the normal game to play if you're not a fan

I actually really enjoy the BR on this, it plays pretty well, only taken me a few games to get the gist

Won a game yesterday, my 2 mates who i play with are not "super good" at FPS games either and we managed ok, I had 12 kills so played pretty aggressively.

Same for me tbf, enjoying Plunder and getting a bit more used to it, I had so much cash at one point I got tagged and people were hunting me, that was fun hehe

The reason I like COD is because it's a fast paced action game you can pick up, spend 20 minutes having a few quick games then go back about your day. I like the fact there is more choice and gameplay options and it opens up the game to much more players than before but if I'm honest, I'll only really play TDM, KC and Hardpoint. I don't even enjoy the other quick modes like search and destroy, capture the flag and so on let alone the epic warzone maps. Choice is a good thing but I'm with you, the BR things isn't really for me.

I'm like you I do TDM, KC or all Vs all but these usually are on Shoothouse and occasionally the wider maps but cant get into the battlefield big map play

Saying all that I had a hoot with this new game mode. Its not as picky as Battlefield nor as technically complex as Fortnite. One thing I did notice by the end of the night a number of people had worked out the vantage points and we're picking off newbies trying to revive downed mates

Plunder is good fun but I have been playing it Solo which kind of sucks because you just die, you don't go in to the 'wounded' stage where teammates can revive you. I would 'down' 2 players and when trying to finish them off be taken out by one bullet from their other teammate.
I see a load of people are using thermal snipers which seem to kill me easily whereas when I use a sniper rifle it takes me about 3 shots to injure somebody and another 2 to finish them off.

Enjoying it though even as solo, going to order a headset today as imagine it could be great fun with a couple of teammates you can communicate with.

Anyone wanting to join the pistonheads regiment can do.

The invites system is shocking so i'll need to know your activision id.

You can find it here - https://profile.callofduty.com/cod/profile under basic info.

I'm really bad at shoot house, for some reason I rarely have a good game on that map

I used it to grind out my gold m4. I had all camo challenges apart from about 65 longshots! I took some abuse for camping but it's the best map to get them. Now I run and gun with an mp7 and enjoy the map so much more!
