Tesco I did have a pre order but I was half way through putting info in and at the same time trying to get Smyths and game which meant Tesco then timed out

No it’s not, sold out direct, you can add to basket but it won’t process.

I’ve tried through the web and directly on my Xbox.

I'd be signing out or trying and incognito tab and logging in at checkout it's how I just did it

These will be around for years so dont see why having one the minute it launches is such a big deal, will pretty much do what an Xbox already does. Will definitely get one at some point but not scarmbling round for one or paying vastly over the odds.

Too much cash from lockdown savings burning holes in pockets, even compared to normal console launches.

I agree, neither of my consoles does 4k at the moment and my TV is now 4K hence being keen, otherwise I would have waited and certainly not pay over the odds

I am glad I got one, wouldn't have been devastated if I hadn't, if it goes mental and people cannot get them and they are going for £800 on ebay then I may have a decision to make

If I look on the attached, where it says Gears 5 Launch game - a game that is already out on the Xbox One, I presume that just means that on launch, if you have Gears 5 and play it on a Series X, you'll get the full optimised version, (4K?) and it'll run better than on the Xbox One?

Yeah I guess so

I know Fifa 21 does auto upgrade so assume similar with Gears maybe?

To be fair its a masterstroke by them, I wouldn't have bought Fifa until Nov 10th this year, now I can buy it, wait til new one arrives and D/L the new version, EA dont have a shocking Oct, they get the same amount of money but get SOME goodwill back from people

With this and the Access option, while the Specification war was too close to call MS are smashing the accessibility side

Bear in mind thats comparing 4k to 4k so I wouldn't expect huge amounts

I think its more details if you look at the rocks they are more shaded and detailed, same with some sections of the armer, the whole scene looks darker yet more vivid at the same time

I suspect it may not be things you notice straight away but the whoel experience just renders better on the newer stuff and loads a lot quicker

I reckon Q2 2021 will be when devs have a chance to make use of the REAL power of these machines
