Early reviews are extremely strong. Almost wish I caught that cough and high temperature this week, then I could have spent my isolation playing it instead.

Thanks. £50 on there or equally the same on Steam.

Could be time for a purchase then !

The other good thing about Doom 1 & 2, at least on PC, are the virtually unlimited number of mods and wads. Project Brutality in particular is brilliant, making you feel like a 15 year old edgelord all over again.

You can just plug in an external hard drive by the way, that would solve your storage problems.
My friend had the Simpsons mod where you played as Homer and all the baddies were simpsons characters, many hours spent playing that! Looking forward to hearing peoples thought on this new one when its been played a bit, I did enjoy the old new Doom but it wasn't a game I would play again and again like the old ones.

I've never replayed any FPS because to me it's like re-reading a book, which is something I don't do either. Because FPS have an ending, to me it's finished. That must be good for games companies as they can then flog me another FPS !

I hardly ever replay any games, when I'm done I'm done. Don't normally even play any DLC unless it's built in from day one.
The only time I've replayed after competing is the HL series.

Same here, as well as the Aliens mod (appropriate since that was what the game was originally going to be). Amazing that people are still making new content for a near 30 year old game, and what they can do with an engine that can't draw slopes or curves.

Arrived this afternoon. Brilliant. I forgot how important it was just moving about and ripping through the monsters. Playing on hurt me plenty and amo is really tight. Got about 3 hours down and just picked up the 2nd weapon and a frag launcher.

Cacodeamons are way easier than in old doom.
