I hardly ever replay any games, when I'm done I'm done. Don't normally even play any DLC unless it's built in from day one.
The only time I've replayed after competing is the HL series.
I'm the complete opposite, I'll play the forst time just to get through it, then again to find all the good stuff, then if its any good I'll run through it again! Love first person shooters, so a good one will get thoroughly rinsed. Now have new Doom and Doom 2 downloading smile

Should be waiting for me when I get home. Have to look after my nephew tomorrow, but Im sure he can entertain himself whilst I deal with more important things.

Now that is mightily impressive !

I've never seen graphics that good or that smooth, everything just flows.

And you just go round shooting nasty monsters - get in !

Playing with a controller does feel like somewhat of a handicap. All well and good saying aim for the Arachnotron's gun or Revenant's rockets, but doing so whilst moving at full speed with half a dozen other enemies attacking you is quite another.

I am still staggered by how good it is. I'm playing on easy mode and it's hard enough !

The graphics performance is exceptional as well. I've got plenty of less demanding games that after a few minutes wind the temp of my GPU up to 70 degrees and my CPU fan and pump ramps up. But this is not troubling the cooling at all. I suppose it shows you how well coded it is compared to other stuff.

I've read if will adapt at a boss level (but I've not got that far yet). So if you keep getting killed it will offer you the change to turn down the damage you suffer so you can beat it and carry on. There are also cheat codes it will give up as well as part of the game.

There's nothing worse than being a bit crap (old like me !) and getting to a point where you keep getting killed so you give up. It looks like they have spotted that problem and have come up with an answer.

I've only installed and played with bindings so far, but in the last game I needed something in between hurt me and easy. I played thru easy for the story, but got stuck pretty early on with the replay and gave up.

Sounds like i'm back on the special bus

Might have to revert to easy. got to the stage where i just managed to kill the 2 cacodemons after about 10 deaths and then straight after they send in an arachnotron. just impossible. Not helped by the lack of ammo. This is so early in the game too. It's a thin line between challenging and frustrating.

Did you try bombs in the mouth? Haven’t played much yet but there is usually a trick to most of the buggers
Yeah the lack of ammo I am finding quite annoying, but as said there is a trick to the enemies I've encountered so far - shotgun-bomb in the mouth of a Cacodemon and make sure you're close enough to glory-kill it right after, and sniper shot to take out the top cannon on the Arachnotrons, and make sure you chainsaw the minor enemies as much as possible to keep your ammo topped up, although IMHO they've taken it a bit too far in terms of sparseness of ammo just laying around.

Shotgun when they open their mouth but you need the sticky bombs option and then use secondary fire and then finish it off with a glory kill.

Ammo is a big problem, so far my shotgun only has a maximum of 16 shells and there's hardly any around.

At least most of the check points are fairly small so when you get killed it's not so annoying.

Apparently if you bought it on Bethesda's store you received in a folder called "original" an executable that doesn't have the denuvo anti-piracy. It's just 67mb in size unlike the denuvo 369mb sized exe. Well done Bethesda hehe
