Grid Autosport is the best PS3 Grid game, and by all accounts superior to the newest one on the current generation.
Also for an amazing single player FPS Far Cry 3 is too notch. Also recommend the Uncharted games. Uncharted 2 is one of the greatest video games of all times, and I'm still tempted to buy a PS4 just so I can play the newest one.
