Is this game worth getting full price or would I be better off waiting for a sale?

I got it from CDKeys with 33% off a couple of weeks ago. I think it may still be on sale on there?

I've now moved onto Alaska (though haven't finished all the Michigan missions yet). There is one mission on the 1st Michigan map that wont let me start/do it. Its the one you need to bring drilling supplies from map 2 which I have done but there is no option for me to deliver them at the factory when I get there.

You need to do this one in order, as I found when I could not deliver the rig from the factory. Once you deliver the metal planks (I think), you should be able to deliver the drilling supplies.

It depends how you define "worth getting", as I think £50ish for a video game is expensive in any case. But in terms of content, quality and how much work must have gone into it (and considering I probably saved that on fuel alone last month by not commuting), I was happy enough paying that (as well as some DLCs paperbag)

Things I wish I'd done a lot sooner, buy an Azov and take it to Michigan, suddenly everything I couldn't do in the Paystar (Cement, Oil Barrels, Fixer Upper) become achievable. I'm gonna go get me my drilling rig stuck on map 1, woohoo!
I'm actually about to start on Cement and Fixer Upper, is it just impossible to get to? Easy enough in the Scout but anything bigger will be fun...
Fixer Upper can be got to quite easily, getting it out of the valley is a whole different challenge, tried one way, gave up, got it out, tried the other way, gave up, got the Azov. Three cement bags are easy, one isn't. Also, watch for the dips on the way there!
Fixer Upper was a swine. Don't try and drag it up the path you came down (stuck in trees), don't try and drag it across the swampy bit and out the quarry (stuck in swamps, rescue truck stuck in swamp, rescue rescue truck stuck in swamp). Bring a repair truck or trailer with you and fix it up, this makes it 100 times easier as it just drives behind you then instead of being dragged, then go the long dumb way. Guess the clue was in the mission name.

On the up side you get the White Western Star which is my favourite truck!

My Azov got it out the original way down although it was a bit fiddly getting past the rocks halfway up. Paystar got it the wrong way through the swamp ok but failed at going up the hill, Azov couldn't manage it either so I dragged it all the way back.

I'm selling just about everything I'm getting hold of as it's nearly all worthless to play with, anything not offroad just gets stuck. I've got about 200k waiting for level up for upgrades. Current fleet Azov, Paystar, Hummer.

Failed it 3 times so far!

A useful 'cheat' I've found for fuel - if you are near a trailer store you can buy a fuel trailer for 6k, refuel your truck and sell the trailer straight away & get the 6k back again. Saves having to drain the fuel trailers scattered around the maps.

I'm still on first map as I decided to stay a while and get as much done as I could. I've got the cheapest off road truck and managed to get the drilling rig semi trailer stuck in a river. Anyone any idea how I sort this one out!

Patience and winching I think! I didn't dare go through that bit, I went the long way around. I did get it stuck on rocks and lampposts a few times though.

Also, be prepared for disappointment, as if you haven't delivered the other things on the list first (written in bright yellow I think), you won't be able to actually deliver this. Mine is currently sat at the drilling site waiting for the rest of the stuff (which is stuck in a bog) hehe

I got stuck in exactly the same place with the Paystar, went to Russia, bought an Azov and yanked it straight out.

Just been to the second Alaska map for the first time, not sure how much I'll persevere with this now, the no garage thing is just a bit too much for my patience and I seem to have a glitch where I can't see any of the tasks (followed some youtube advice with no luck).

The 2nd map can be opened up quite quickly with a Hummer and a scout flat bed trailer. You can very quickly get to the 3rd Alaska map that has a garage.

I, too, have a weird thing where I get no contracts in Michigan anymore. Most odd. Swear I had more to go.

That river crossing is quite a difficult thing to do, I managed to get that particular trailer across that section (with a lot of winching and swearing!) with the Royal BM17 truck that's a freebie on the first Alaska map (right in the far West), that truck so far has been great with all-terrain tyres, and last night I managed to unlock the off-road tyres, so I'm expecting much more from this one now. I'd suggest going and getting that truck as early as you can, as it makes hauling anything much easier, and doesn't cost anything so no need to buy the Paystar!

It is annoying having to do certain things in a particular order, I ended up towing that trailer to the site first (if you do this, at least leave it in the marked box, not just outside it like I did), then the drilling section, then the metal bars. Ended up dropping the bars off with the Fleetstar, then had to use the BM17 with the low saddle to move the drill bit, then go back to base to put the high saddle on to drive back to the site just to move the big trailer a few feet into the marked box. Was an annoying way to finish it having to chop-and-change the saddles so much!

Ouch. Small tip for next time, if you're winching the trailer it's technically connected to your truck, and as long as your truck is in the box, it counts as the trailer being there also. I had parked mine away from the box as you did, I was hoping to drag it into it as I didn't have the right saddle, but it disappeared as soon as I connected my winch to it...

I'm really enjoying the technical difficulties on the second Michigan map, there are some proper off-road sections (not just mud) and getting a full tanker to some areas is a challenge! Hell, even just getting up some sections in the Scout is a challenge, although my towing a fuel trailer around probably doesn't help.

I just found out that if your cargo isn't "packed", you can't deliver it... I went to get the large pipe in Alaska with a flatbed truck (2 spaces), when I picked it up I quickly realised it wouldn't fit (I guess the clue is in the name). I managed to wedge it on the flatbed and hold it down with the crane, got to the drilling site and I don't have the option to unload it!

Does anyone else have a fleet of trucks, all the same? I found the BM17 rather good at the moment so i sold everything and replaced them all with those biggrin. Same colours, same mods, just different kit on the back...

Surely you just deliver the packed one, and then re-pack the unpacked one and then deliver that?

I had an 4 x oil barrel delivery yesterday where I decided to try to do the whole pick-up and delivery on one run.

Had a few mishaps along the way due to some very narrow/cambered/twisty roads and had to recover the barrels with my crane a few times...and the truck with my recovery truck...but eventually got to the fuel station to deliver it all.

I unloaded the truck, then unloaded the trailer, and all the cargo disappeared - only for the status to say I'd only delivered 3. The locations of the original oil barrels are all blank, so I don't know where the 4th one has disappeared to...and couldn't be arsed restarting the whole job again.

Sorry, I meant the pipe takes 4 spaces, so I wasn't technically able to pack it in my 2-space truck. It was overhanging the rear by about 20ft I reckon! I'll have to get there with a semi-trailer now, just so I can load it and pack it!

That's really annoying, at least you should be able to get more from the drilling site if you drive past? I've had the bug where if you load a trailer from a different truck (not attached to the trailer), when you hook up to the trailer the load fall straight through it...

If you've got a crane, and the location accepts manual deliveries, you may be able to deliver it that way.

Unfortunately it's 4 specific barrels from 4 specific locations. Have already tried just getting the same load from elsewhere.

This might be the last game for me tonight.

Lost Tube. Last night I dropped off a load of supplies to the drill site, left the flatbed ready to lift the tube on. Tonight, takes heavy crane, lifts tube onto flatbed. Goes back for low saddle. Gets back to tube, still on flatbed. Starts reversing towards saddle - BOOM, tube flies off about 100' into the river by the drill site. Cue laughter from smallest child. Go back to garage, refit crane. Go back to tube, gingerly take tube back to flat surface in drill site. Furiously drag, winch, crane stupid flatbed into drill site, put tube on it. Go back to garage, refit low saddle.

Come back to this:

Which, after moving forward about an inch in the truck, becomes this:

Think I'll quit while my keyboard is still intact.
