Anyone else not impressed with the PS5 so far?

Well after 7 years in the last year I've had to buy 2 new controller's.
Maybe I'm using my ps4 more due to Warzone but they definitely don't last. It's annoying than I just spent £50 on a new controller which will be redundant by November.
Why didn’t you buy used especially if you know you were upgrading in 3 months? Maybe I'm using my ps4 more due to Warzone but they definitely don't last. It's annoying than I just spent £50 on a new controller which will be redundant by November.
You could also sell these £59 controllers or accept that you’ve saved so much in commuting costs that £100 you’ve spent is helping the economy

both mine broke on the Dpad and even after trying to fix them they didnt work
I think £50 for 8 years of service is pretty mega
The D pad? What the up down left right buttons?I think £50 for 8 years of service is pretty mega
I've had broken triggers on the original DS4 that were easy to replace (they fixed this issue in the revised version), a faulty USB port that was fixed with a 2 quid replacement and joystick drift when pressing L2 which was fixed by harvesting a spare part out of an old PS2 controller.
I only really play racing games and during lockdown and furlough replaced my PS4 with a Pro and my G29 wheel with a Fanatic Elite CSL package. The news that PS4 licensed controllers will work on the PS5 is great, my Fanatic kit was bloody expensive! If GT7 is a launch title and I have a job when it's released I'll be buying the digital version.

Honest question why buy a pro when 6 months later you’d be buying the PS5?Money growing on trees
I came across a good deal and with selling my original PS4 the cost to change was £100. I'm happy with the improved graphics and increased speeds in some areas. I also think it will be easier to sell and get money back when I do get a PS5.
Also at the time there was no mention of GT7 or that PS4 wheels would work with a PS5. It's only in recent weeks I've thought I could be a release day PS5 buyer.

Currently there seems precious little reason to by the Xbox Series X, so it seems the PS5 is winning by default.
Especially as Halo has been delayed. Microsoft myst be absolutely apocalyptic with the developer that they won’t be ready for the console launch after FIVE YEARS of development. I do fear that the console manufacturers pandering to backwards comparability and releasing games on old generations is holding them back.
Who cares if my old Xbox one can’t play the new halo!? Make it as good as possible for the new console only. Give people a reason to move to the new one. Things move on.

But they will compete in other ways if PS5 is outselling them. Drop price/bundle deals and offers and so on. Xbox can't let PS5 outsell them too much, otherwise games companies will make PS5 the priority.
The only way I can see myself getting either console at launch is if the pricing is really competitive. I like the stance that Microsoft have taken with the Xbox, but I can play old games on my One. PS5 has some interesting games, but nothing that would make me buy the console, plus I think it looks a bit ridiculous.
Maybe it is me, but it feels like both parties have been quite underwhelming so far. They need a big "wow" moment, however I am not seeing where that will come from.
