I've gone John Lewis online for that very reason.

My mate went Game. I said they'll either be shut due to Covid or gone under!

Tbh we were playing quads Warzone and the four of us all have a Xbox or PS5 coming. But none of us are that hyped for the launch titles ( I haven't even bought any).
I’m the same with the launch titles, seems a mess up to me.

I will just be playing the updated cod Cold War and Pubg.

I’m more bothered about the fact that one of my orders is my lads Christmas present, should any big delay throw it passed that I’ll be in a pickle to say the least!

The only one of all the launch titles for either new gen console that really appeals to me is Demon's Souls (remake).

That is an awesome game - I played it so much on my PS3 - and the remade gfx look absolutely amazing. It's almost enough to make me spring for a PS5 ... almost.

However, if they haven't adjusted the difficulty in the remake (or given some sort of difficulty options) then there are going to be a LOT of frustrated people. The game is hard as nails and really requires the player to invest time not only in practicing it, but also doing a load of research online for the FAQs and guides. But the depth in there is quite astonishing and it is soooo rewarding once it all clicks.

I'm really looking forward to playing Spiderman MM, I'll probably get the ultimate edition as I haven't played Marvels Spiderman on the PS4 yet.

My order with Amazon still states arriving on the 19th so fingers crossed all goes well.

RE: Demon Souls it certainly looks pretty, definitely the most impressive next gen title graphics wise. However frustrating games aren't my cup of tea so I'll probably give it a miss.

If you've not played the first Spiderman on PS4 then definitely get the ultimate edition of MM - well worth the extra £20 in my opinion, it's a great game and one of the few that I've spent time doing every side mission / collectible / DLC.

I'm getting a PS5 after having the Xbox for the last gen, so I'll be playing a lot of PS4 remastered games, and at least half of the PS Plus Collection. Really looking forward to it.

So will lockdown stop people collecting their preorders? I assume so?

I can't imagine people will give a s**t about these stupid regulations and will be out in force to get their PS5...

Assuming the non-essential shops are shut as has been suggested, they won’t be able to pick up from Game et al regardless of whether they’d happily leave their homes to do so...

I would be surprised if businesses are happy to lose that kind of profit and may well find a way to stay open. Or just simply ignore the stupid laws, as we all should.

Everyone does seem to be raving about the controller, I can't wait to give it a try in a few weeks.

Click and collect is still allowed - so as long as the shop is technically closed (not taking purchases) then they should be able to allow pick-ups. Whether they are set up for that is a different matter.

Click and collect is permitted, so they can do that. I did read somewhere that previously Symths toy shop were doing click & collect at the door, so you ddin't even enter the shop.

If shops don't do C&C and don't post out consoles (of either flavour) they'll get a stack of cancelled orders, I would assume they would prefer to get stock out and the money in.

Can't see its going to be an issue.

Well, if click and collect is fine then I’d assume we’re all set. smile

Well, not me - I didn’t bag a pre-order, so I’ll be aiming for one in the springtime.

I’ll be buying a PS5 for GT7, whenever that is launched.

Replacement coloured side panels, £32.

I wonder how they know the exact measurements of the fixing points?
Website now disappeared. Scam ?
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2020-11-01-ps5-...
Sony originally went at them with trademark infringement complaint for the platestation5 site, they rebranded, then Sony went for them with an intellectual property complaint for the replacement faceplate design and now they've stopped them and refunded preorders. The rebranded site is now selling vinyl skins, not replacement panels https://www.customizemyplates.com/

Fast half of 2021 so make that 2022.

Seems I need to go and pay in full at the GAME store by close Wednesday, so I can click and collect on release day.

not sure about giving them the best part of £800, might just pay for my lads so I 100% have it for Xmas day.

Will be buggered if the lockdown gets extended though as I’ve sold my pro...
