I doubt they'll appear, it takes a lot of time and money to create a track in game!

Monaco is just a track where if I make it around a lap without bumping I feel quite proud..... I did a race a while back where I got about 15 laps of almost perfection, just got into a lovely rhythm. But a lot of my Monaco races end in a crash or at least a front wing change....... Sometimes into T1.........

Am about to give up at Monaco, I can tip toe around without crashing but just tried a development program in FP1......3 seconds off the pace + awful tyre wear. It's like getting a D for effort and F for attainment despite turning up early/doing extra home work!! smile.

You have to get max downforce on the rear wing and 10 on the front. Then max out the toe etc so you can get around the hairpin... Once you have the car set up quite well (IIRC I use fairly stiff springs) then it will react and turn quite well which is needed... Also taking a few really slow laps to work out when to turn in on some of the corners helps IMHO..

I have won Monaco, Pole to Flag, before now. That included a front wing change at my stop.... Oh I also drive from the in cockpit view...

Monaco was the only track where I've looked up a set up online, I had to otherwise like some of you guys I'd just end up crashing or miles off the pace. Once I got a personalised set up it made me a couple of seconds (maybe a tad more) a lap quicker.

I'm pretty handy in racing games normally, been playing them for along time and simracing for 10 years . . . but I tried this recently on my nephews PS4 with a controller and I was diabolical. Even my nephew beat me in a few races. With all assists off except medium TC and auto DRS, am I missing performance from ERS or something?

Very polished game.

How does this compare to Assetto Corsa on the PC? It looks a bit arcadey...
Try getting around Monaco without crashing and setting a competitive time. I actually got Project cars 2 for my Xbox, I think I've loaded that up 3 times since buying it years ago.

I have no idea how it compares to a real 'sim' but I do know its the most fun driving game I've played probably ever.....expect for Monaco, going to give it another crack with different setup.

Hate Monaco, when you get it right it feels great, but those barriers are just so close and constant, for every corner I nail the next one gets some closer attention. When damaged turned off its like bumper cars for me for a good 1/3 of the lap!

Even tried scandinavian flick around Casino.....its not a quicker way to corner smile

It's the best racing game I've ever played, it's phenomenal. All down to the excellent A.I.

Still cannot stay clear of the barriers in Monaco, turned the AI down to 30. Did manage to put in a time within a second of Bottas, thought I became a driving god for one lap, than realised it was because he was stuck behind me for most of the lap.

At least its a pretty looking place to drive around a F1 car (badly) smile

The fundamental underpinnings of F1 2020 won't have changed that much from F1 2010, where Istanbul last appeared (or 2011, I can't remember). So they could add that to the game, they have the data. The issue would maybe come to licensing with the track, which might scupper the actual commercial agreements they already have in place. I don't know.

However they could/should release a mode in the game where you could race the actual 2020 season, not the one we should've had.

I was looking at the other tracks the other day, they’ve said they won’t do it as it takes them a year development time per track!

I call bullst on that. There's no way it's taken them a year to change the boards from F1 2019 to F1 2020.

I'm struggling during the race!

Qualifying im generally OK with. I get a decent start but then I can't pull away from those behind me. The catrs ahead go flying off into the distance.

Often I'll do 15/20 laps with no actual racing as im just by myself.

Any ideas?

You may need to toggle the AI and/or alter your tyre strategy. I play on 90 AI but sometimes have to toggle this track by track.

Are you driving for a current team or in My Team mode?

Are you in career or MyTeam?

I did a lot better in races than I did in qualifying in my first season, but I'm doing ok in both in my second.

Where are you losing them, on straights or in the corners? I kept losing loads of time on the straights in my first season, but after 2 or 3 decent power upgrades I starting to be almost as quick as the Red Bulls.

That was for new tracks, like you say won’t be for the updates to existing tracks.

It's My Team. Mostly in the corners it seems.

Straights in normally fine with if I use my ERS to defend.

Bit stops I tend to go with what they recommend.

That being said...Just finished second at Spa.

Started 9th. Great start up to forth by the second corner.

Then it started raining. I came in a lap before everyone else (I copied Hamilton). Ended up 2nd and stayed there for the rest of the race (Hamilton flew off into the distance and was 40 seconds a head!).

In the wet I drop the differential to 60% or so and switch brake balance to 51% or so which I find helps. Of course, if you pit then another 1 up on the front wing doesn't hurt either.....

ETA - oh and I run the fuel in the lowest setting too.
