1) Resident Evil 4 is totally overrated. All the hard work of building atmosphere in the first third of the game is totally squandered by the time Leon gets to the castle. Things get even worse at the end when you end up on the island military base. Yet another case of the budget running out and the ending being budged, which kind of sounds like...

5) RE5 is miles better than RE4 and there is no denying that.

re4 was a ps2 game , for a ps2 game it was amazing , it was a long game and it has hours of play

At the time it was best played on a Gamecube. The PS2 port wasn't very good IIRC.

Ghost of Tsushima is a poor rip off of Assassin's Creed games. It brings absolutely nothing new to the genre and the missions are dull, boring and repetitive. One of the worst Sony PS4 exclusives.

AC Valhalla is superior in every way, better story, better graphics, better protagonist.

Shenmue on the dreamcast was ...meh. Too complicated and I didn't enjoy it, gave up after a few hours of pointless gameplay.

Fast forward to more modern games

FIFA is crap.

The last decent COD releases were World at War / BO2

ok rockstar broke the mould on sandbox games but apart from the 1st rdr there's not been a rockstar game thats made me finish the game since rdr or bully

their stories i feel like drag on a bit
First one I played through to completion. I lasted about half an hour with RDR2. Too much tedious dialogue and trudging along with a cart. It just wasn't fun. A game needs to suck you in quickly.

I thought maybe it was me... Jaded re: openwirld games but really enjoying Ghosts of Tsushima.
I think RDR2 is the first rockstar open world game I've actually finished the story. Never actually got to the end of any GTA despite enjoying them immensely.

Have to admit I lasted about half an hour with Assasins Creed and would never touch another since, one of the most boring, repetitive games I have ever played, dull, boring and monstrously overrated. Millions cant be wrong, can they?

The first one?

If so I agree, the first one was wk. Number 2 was brilliant though and that was the one that got me into the franchise.

I really enjoyed red dead redemption 1 but have only completed it twice. The third time I played it I got so bored with missions like "go round the farm and shoot the dingos" or rescue the cattle before they get hit by the train"

I just can't get into them either. I played some of BlackFlag and it was cool environment but I lost care really quickly. I bought tonnes of them and the last I tried was Origins. Looked nice for 30 mins then just never bothered to turn it on again.

My issue with the current AC games is the move to an RPG-style combat/loot system, I get they want to switch things up but I didn't feel like it ever fitted the game the idea of this stealthy and lethal assassin.

Credit where it is due, they do a great job of world building. Origins was very, very pretty and good to explore.
