Anyone playing Dirt 5?

Pray tell, how do you win in the Sprint races? I took an hour at it the other night, got to the mandatory race in the first group and the AI kicked my head in.
Same problem. Went into the event thinking nice, never played a discipline like this before and well.. Absolute disaster.Even on the easiest setting, I just can't pinpoint the handling of the car. Really difficult and I just had to give up to be honest.

It's a fine game, and I commend the art director because the whole aesthetic of the game is a visual delight, but imagine spending full whack on it. I'd be livid personally. Enjoyable though and at least this way Codemasters gets a few quid off me (probably) rather than CEX. How far in have you gotten?Levin said:

I'm just on the first few races but the graphics don't look right, the scenery is nice but the car seems to jitter as it goes alongHaving spent a lot of time on FH4 it's not blowing me away at all

Whenever I return to it, I'm going to do my very best to forget I read this. I haven't noticed any jittering so far but I bet I do now! Out of interest, did you choose to optimise frame rate or graphical fidelity? Given I'm playing the game on an original Xbox One I went for frame rate. Perhaps the issue is more pronounced under different circumstances. One nice thing is that if you're into your achievements and such the list for Dirt 5 seems very reasonable. You can knock out 200G in the space of about 5 minutes by rating another player's Playground and then creating and testing one of your own making. It's laughably simple.

sorry
Well the option for that annoyed me, one says optimise resolution, one says optimise image quality,
Which to me are the same thing
I'm running it on a Series X so it should be fine either way though
I'll flip it the other way later and see

I'll stand by my verdict, this is a decent enough game but the physics are 'questionable' at times. Pathfinder events are becoming a chore now I've spotted the complete unpredictability of the physics. However, did the rest of you know the Pathfinder class buggy (there's only one and I can't remember the name) has four-wheel steering? Click the left stick in when you're turning and you'll notice it.
Naturally this is not explained anywhere in the game because why would a useful feature ever be introduced?
