So how long do we have to wait until the really good games come out for the PSP?

And does anyone have any good links to the new PSP games coming out soon

Cheers

I've got stuck on one level in the last but one zone. After 6 hours of constantly either running out of time or mercury, I gave up and bought another game. I have now finished that game and going back to mercury this afternoon... just a little bit panicy about it

Ape Escape is ok, but easy.

I'm waiting on Death Jnr (out soonish), GTA - Liberty City Stories (Out 'Q3' 2005, i.e. December ), GT4 for the UK luanch and the proper MGS (rather than that card game one).

I've got a megadrive emulator on mine and currently about 20 games with room for hundreds more on my 512mb stick, Urban Strike is still as good as it used to be.

I have Ridge racer and ATV so far. I bought Metal Gear Acid also, but not quite what I expected. That one is up for sale now.

I saw the mercury game and now having read the reviews here.. maybe thats my next game.

You can get the Emulator here, there is a guide on how to set it up but if you need anymore info on it post on here and i'll do my best to help.

http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/

edit: There is also a snes emulator there but it's nowhere near as smooth as the megadrive one, they need to do some more tweaking with that I think.

Ridge Racers, Wipeout Pure and Mercury are all great. Metal Gear Acid is an aquired taste but still fun.

Lumines wipes the floor with all of them, though - fantastic and uber-addictive !

I saw some screen shots of the new GTA for PSP and cannot wait for that to be released - good bit of mindless violence and criminal undertakings before work !

Just seen my first PSP for real. WOW how cool are they !!

Ok , some questions for the techies here.

What do you need to burn current PS2 games onto a memory stick?
How do you compress DVD's to PSP sticks?

Are there any other cool features it can do ?

I doubt you'd fit a PS2 game onto a memory stick as they're usually way over the 1gb max of the sticks, dvds can be converted with software thats freely available all over the net.

You can't run PS2 games on a PSP (the 2 machines are very different, and thus incompatible)

There is no 1 program to do this, you need to first, rip and decrypt the disc, and then re-encode the movie file you ripped into the correct format for the psp. Do a google search for "PSP Video 9", that program will do the movie conversion. You will need to find a VOB ripper also to rip and decrypt the disc .

As for features, you can view JPEG's and listen to MP3's aswell.

Are there going to be any problems playing games bought in the US on a UK PSP? (whenever it arrives)

Last time I was in Frys in the US (Silicon Valley goodie store) they had tons of PSP games but I need to know if they'd work.

I don't think they are region coded, ive played US titles on a JAP PSP.
