Good PSP games
Discussion
No, it sounds usual to me. I asked CM where the games had got to today, and their support came back to me:
So they do have TOCA 2, but sounds like they're BS-ing me on CMR I'll get back to them tomoorow evening and ask for TOCA 2 on it's own if I don't have any email saying they were dispatched by then.

Race Driver 2 has arrived at our Warehouse, however there has been a problem with our distributors and Colin McRae has been delayed by 1 day so cannot be dispatched until tomorrow. As you have selected you want both games to go out tomorrow this will delay your whole order. If you would like Race Driver to be dispatched today please let us know and we will see if this can be arranged.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

The only problem im currently coming up against is my PSP refuses to play any MP4 movies ive done using imovie on my mac, but ones ive downloaded from the net work fine. i assume some how they are some sort of different compression? i will have a tweak with them and see if i can get it sorted... anyone else had similar problems?
I'm not sure what your problem is caused by exactly (and I'm stuck at work with my new PSP so have not tried this with my Macs at home yet) but there are many possible "flavours" of MP4. Make sure you are using the most basic (and certainly not H.264)...
I have had my PSP for months they are great, but my best purchase was space invaders.something quite ironic playing a easy classic game on the most powerful handheld around...

Is that part of the www.play.com empire?

The Mac (nor any software!) does not natively encode for the PSP, which uses an odd version of H.264.
So you need to use specific software for the task.
If you use a PC, search for "engadget psp movie" in Google and you should find links to the right stuff.
On a Mac, ffMpegX works very well (better than the PC equivalent). iPSP makes life a bit easier, but you lose tweakability. The guy who does ffMpegX is looking at getting pukka H.264 ont the PSP. Should reduce file sizes further for a given quality I believe.
Was in the airport yesterday so thought it rude not to buy Toca 2, Everybody's Golf, Archer McLeans Mercury and some Hack and Slash RPG thing (the name escape's me for the moment).
Only got the chance to play Mercury which is fun and fiendishly tricky. You look like a pratt tilting the PSP though
Had my PSP for months but hadn't got around to buying anything beyond Ridge Racer (which is great, but v.repetitive)
Reviews to come...

TOCA 2 brilliant.
Spiderman and Lumines not so good (up on ebay for sale right now) but managed to get them for next to bugger all as a package from Currys £220 for three games, PSP and a welcome pack with all sorts of cool stuff. Just going to get Twisted Metal this lunch and see if that is as much fun as it used to be.

You can get the Emulator here, there is a guide on how to set it up but if you need anymore info on it post on here and i'll do my best to help.

edit: There is also a snes emulator there but it's nowhere near as smooth as the megadrive one, they need to do some more tweaking with that I think.

Anyone know if this works on a UK psp. I've tried the Kxploit tool and followed all the instructions on the link but it still says unable to start game
ps psp says version 1.5 (I haven't used the demo disk)
From a bit of playing around with the vids, it seems like if you're running version 2.0 of the system software, that you will need a supporting THM file with every movie file just allow the PSP to see it, otherwise the PSP just doesnt see it at all.
the THM file seems to not only contain an icon (a preview of the video as it were), but also information directly linking to the movie file, so you cant simply re-name both files to match to get it to run. It doesnt really bother me that much, its more annoying than anything else really.
So it seems like, if you're running 2.0, that you're stuck with the videos you can download from the officially sources releasing them.
