I've just finally got hold of an OLED 4k tv (LG C2 42") and have been playing my PS5 on it. Just replayed Demon's Souls and I can't get over how nice it all looks. As much as I love my PS4 Pro (I sold it to get my PS5 and then bought another one a few months later once I realised I could remote play my PS5 using the PS4 but downstairs), the PS5 playing on a good 4k TV blows the PS4 out of the water. The game looks beautiful and so detailed.
Have you managed to play anything that blows you away yet?
Cheers

Not 'blown always yet but very close. My original comment was based on the upscaling of Warzone.Have you managed to play anything that blows you away yet?

I am now fully engrossed in Days Gone, which is a PS4 game, but looks (and plays) brilliant.
I haven't tried any PS5 games yet but Santa is bringing me Deathloop so looking forward to that.
I have an issue with one of my controllers if anyone has a solution I'm all ears.
I've trawled loads of websites and YouTube vids but can't find a fix.
The controller doesn't switch on, I've connected it using a cable but get a message saying need to update the controller software however the battery is too low to do it so can't go any further.
Tried resetting the controller from the back with a pin but it's the same.
The cable won't charge it and can't do it from a wall plug either.
I've tried 2 usb A to C cables and a C to C on different ports but it still won't go on charge.
I deleted the controller profile from settings but since it won't turn on, it won't recognise it anymore.
The controller is working as when I press the PS button with the console turned off it will flash blue momentarily then go off, the working controller will flash for longer like it's waiting to be discovered by Bluetooth on the console however.
I don't have a laptop either to do try it manually using the software downloader app from Sony's website so that's a no go.
I don't know why Sony made an update that won't go past the screen and allow you to update later if you have a low battery.

Now you've pressed the reset button you need to re-pair it with the console again. You'll have to plug it in via a USB to USB C lead and then press the PS button.
It wont switch on though, it will flash blue for a second then switch off, it won't flash blue for a few seconds like it should to be discovered by the console.Once I connect the cable it prompts the software update page which says I can't update as not enough battery, I can't get past this screen unless I plug my working controller in and press the PS button.
Reads to me like the battery is completely flat (bar the tiny charge left which is letting it light up momentarily), depending on when you bought it and how hard you want to push for for consumer rights I'd take it back to where you got it from and demand a fix. Even the oldest ones are only a couple of years old now so your rights should cover you.

Leave it plugged in via USB to the PS5 for a while, and try again. If it’s on standby the console should charge it up enough that it can then be paired and then updated I’d have thought.Once I connect the cable it prompts the software update page which says I can't update as not enough battery, I can't get past this screen unless I plug my working controller in and press the PS button.
If you don’t mind spending the money (£18 currently) you should also be able to charge it in the charging station;

I’ve got one, and it’s a handy place to store the controllers and makes sure I always have one that’s fully charged to hand. It plugs into a regular wall socket though, not USB. I can’t believe that a controller would need to be updated for it to charge in the charging station.
It's pretty stupid it won't allow the controller to do straight through charging until the software update has been done.
If the battery is flat you end up with a paperweight.
I'm not even sure how it died as I have 2 controllers on rotation, one charging while the other is in use. So they both are never not charged.
I'm not sure if the dock will be much use as I have already tried charging from a wall socket and my work laptop and dell dock using 2 different USB A to C wires, one which is brand new and a USB C to C wire and still no orange light to say it's charging.

You might be right, but the dock doesn’t use a USB connection for the controller to charge from, which is why I thought it might work…If the battery is flat you end up with a paperweight.

It’s direct contacts against the controller, as you can (sort of) see in the picture.

Aaagh! Was about to pull the trigger on one of these at £389 from amazon. Had to take a call in work and when I went to pay, the price had gone up by £150. Back to waiting for a decent price again...
Why not just buy direct from Sony at £479.99?siovey said:
Aye, not bothered about the disk version to be fair. Thought £389 was well worth buying it for. Ah well, I don't need one and I'm not desperate as I still have tonnes of ps4 games to play
I did man maths on this one. If I have the disc I can get second hand games.. Let's say I save £20-30 per game, then over the course of a year if I only buy 2-3 games I will have almost saved the price difference, so over the course of 3-5 years........Jasandjules said:

Good thinking! But, I never buy 'new' games anyway and just get them on the store when they are cheap. Probably pointless me even buying a PS5!siovey said:

There's 50+ in stock at BT for £389 if you're still in the market, I've just ordered one myself.https://shop.bt.com/products/sony-ps5-digital-cons...
