There's 50+ in stock at BT for £389 if you're still in the market, I've just ordered one myself.

Finally got myself one! Randomly went into Game and they had them in stock, so bought a disk version. Don't have any games yet but will download and play witcher 3 again I think. Haven't fired it up yet as the mrs has 'forced ' me to come to the pub! biglaugh

You probably should have booted it up before you went, as with all the updates/ installs and stuff it probably takes a few hours before you can actually get playing.

I managed to win a PS5 at the beginning of February!

Only GT7 and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart have been played so far. But oh my! What a jump from the PS4 biggrin
And the few PS4 games I've moved across look far more polished that I expected them to as well

What's the disadvantage of a digital only PS5 vs the other one? I'm assuming you obviously have to download all your games on the digital only one, but my experience of the PS4 was that even games I bought as a disc then required st loads of downloading and installing anyway, so not sure why I'd pay £80 or so more for the non-digital only version.....

Resale value of the games essentially, if you're not one to keep games, then you can offset a good chunk of the cost by selling them on.

Mainly that you can sell the disc when you are done with it I think.

The download version will also take up much more room on the hdd

Hmmmm ok, so paying £80-£90 more but possible to sell games on......not sure I'll end up buying many games as GT7 is likely the only game I'll play.....something to ponder I guess.

Bizarrely, it often seems to be the case that buying Digital Downloads is actually more expensive than buying the physical disc version.

I don't know if it's always the case, but has been for the games I've looked at.

I guess I should probably get the disc version, in the grand scheme of what I might end up spending, £90 extra is probably worth it.

You'll recoup your money more or less straight away with a disc version after buying a few games. GT7 is £60 in the PS store, £50 on Amazon and £35 for a used one on ebay.

Yes you will have to download the game data to the SSD too but of course that means quick loading times.

Cool, makes sense. Very close to pulling the trigger on the console and game for now......VR and wheel etc can come a bit further down the line.

Xbox and PS stores have a captive market though, can pretty much charge what you want when there's no competition.
