My logitech wheel uses throttle and brake off the same axes, i wonder if i can also tell it to use seperate axes ? If not i dont think its the end of the world - i think my wheel will fall to bits soon as i've noticed it getting loose and has more play in it. Also it tends to lose its centre once calibrated so i am driving down the straight with the wheel slightly turned to the right. When i apply some quick oppersite lock i have to yank the wheel around against the force feedback and i think its trashing the gear inside. I dont think its heavy duty enough for my rough handling I'll be getting something at the higher end of the market with a proper gear stick when it does finally go. Only had it 4/5 months though !! Then again can i argue when it cost me £40 !

Shame we couldn't meet last night - will be around again tonight till about 10pm. Perhaps we can meet on another public UK server if Jimbro is still having problems then ?

Just out of interest Jimbro - whats your server spec ? And is it dedicated to LFS ? What speed connection do you have (upload/download) ?

You can - if you've got the wingman software installed it's in there, otherwise it's in the game controllers in control panel.

The server in question isn't really a server, just a PC that is unused at the moment.

Spec is (from memory) a 2.8GHz P4 HT with 1GB of memory. Nothing else runs on the machine (although it does host my music connection).

Connection speed is 2Mb/256Kb (again from memory)

Will try and get it working properly tonight but likely to be delayed while I have a plumber in trying to figure out why my new boiler won't fire up after we had a power cut at the weekend.

Dah, went out last night. Might be around tonight for some alcohol fuelled endurance racing ... maybe.... I'll log on anyway...
