I believe I may have peaked. I'm not sure how I can outdo StarDog, which immortalises one of our neighbour's companion animals with startling verisimilitude.
Like it! Here’s my recent build.
I call it HMS Craft 30 Unique Modules.
It enabled me to unlock the next rank in the skills tree.
I am preparing for NG+ as I’m pretty much quested out except crimson fleet which is bugged. As such I’ve been doing a bit of XP farming with adaptive frames then using the levels to build out stuff that’s hard to do with no money or resources, I.e have now unlocked all weapons and suits mods, plus ability to build the best ships. Winner.
I like that HMSC30UM retains its elegance. Reminds me a little of my outpost. I had a sitting room, with one of every seat, a bedroom, with one of every bed, and a My Friend Wilby room. My motto was "no My Friend Wilby left behind".
NG+ does open up new bases and characters. Also the run to NG+ is really good.

I am currently swithering on this. I don't have an xbox or a powerful PC but i do have a PS5 and 2x Ps4's that i'm toying with selling and putting the proceeds towards an xbox.
I played Elite dangerous for a bit and Horizons but got v bored v quickly trying to hop around planets and making sure i had a ship that could do what i needed.
Fairly impatient gamer type, if i can jump in and get to the action and kill something immediately then i get bored. That said i've recently played, and replayed Sniper Elite 5 that is a lot of hanging around and planning attacks etc.
Anyone similar to my approach to these things? There's obviously more to buying the console if I don't like SF but it would be the primary reason for buying.

There’s a lot to this game but you can just shoot the place up to an extent also. Some missions are more diplomatic etc. I played Elite dangerous for a bit and Horizons but got v bored v quickly trying to hop around planets and making sure i had a ship that could do what i needed.

Really most people know what they’re getting into having played either Skyrim or fallout - if you like either of those you’ll like this.
FYI I sold my ps5 a few months ago and got an unbelievable £350 within a few hours of listing, my brother did the same thing.

I flick between fast travelling as much as possible, and as little as possible. In big story missions I tend to walk everywhere, manually take off and land, and so on.
If I'm surveying or grubbing up money to build a ship I'll hop around using fast travel.
I did NG+ for the second time last night, and decided to go straight back to the final showdown base. With no weapons, no aid items, no digipicks. That was entertainingly tricky, even at level 91.

I completed my first play through before work this morning! If I'm surveying or grubbing up money to build a ship I'll hop around using fast travel.

It was quite liberating knowing I couldn't take any loot with me for NG+ as the lead up to the finale I didn't collect anything except med packs knowing I would be needing them.
I was level 71 and the battles were tough but could have been tougher I think. I play on Very Hard (highly recommend switching if you haven't already.
Some tips for those approaching the end game:
-I made sure to sell 'unique items' so I could max out commerce and set myself up for the next run, every little helps
-Waste your money building outpost and ship modules to level those up
-Waste your resources crafting as much as poss for the XP (although a bit moot with the adaptive frame farming).
Decided I will be taking a break - I have put so much time into this game, going to enjoy Forza and try some gamepads games for a bit before starting the next play through properly!

From the moment I decided to get on with it, I didn't pick up anything.I'm thinking for this play through I will not put a scope onto any weapon. It was refreshing doing the Masada base with only iron sights.

I think I'm going to go purpose built suppressed sniper and then reflex sights for other stuff. I managed to max out all the boost pack skills and the hovering is awesome, but hard with a scope. I only started using shotguns towards the end of the game too so will be doing more of that. I'm thinking for this play through I will not put a scope onto any weapon. I don't know whether to consider this my final play through or not, I like to hoard resources and want to build a better base/outpost - Shame you can't change your perks in NG+ I chose that dream home and kids stuff, both are garbage on reflection, the home was a pain to get to as my ship landed miles away, kids stuff got me some low grade goods and ship I instantly sold.
Hmm, i didn't like starfield and Fallout didn't engage me.
You know what i hate about all the new gen stuff is there's this constant need to loot or craft. Even in Sniper Elite you need to visit work benches to add suppressors, etc. etc.
I'm no expert but i'm fairly sure that during the wars there are soldiers queuing up to add camp paint to their guns. Maybe i should have stuck with Duke Nukem!

Lol yes, although not always. Also how come there's artificial gravity on stationary ships and space stations, yet that amazing tech is never mentioned.
That's a function of the gravity drive and/or engines. If you destroy a ship's gravity drive (again, and/or engines), then board it, it's quire often zero-g inside.I now can't play at all on my xbox the game locks if I try to save or open a door or fast travel, all my other games are fine and the xbox doesn't even get warm. Tried uninstalling and re installing hree times now! I even deleted all my progress and started again and it still locks up its also a two month old xbox!
