Nice!
My current project is to beat the Red Mile record, but in the Tardigrade outfit and with no weapon use.
Does anything happen when you take that tt Donnovans record? The Red Mile is best just turbo run anyway, those creatures in it despite their level take forever to take out for 1xp? Bobbins! My current project is to beat the Red Mile record, but in the Tardigrade outfit and with no weapon use.
I completed it first at about level 17 and that was tough, if you got anywhere near those Red Mile aliens it was pretty much instant death. Now I just get the the cocktail thats 25% movement speed and more o2 capacity and off we go, full on boost and leg it.... takes about 3 minutes.
I was just about to post how much I'm enjoying this game, I've reached level 71 managed to get hold of an alien ship etc etc.
Just as I was approaching Akila the screen went blank. Nothing at all from the X BoxX at all dead as a doornail as they say.
Luckily it's still within warranty until February, along with it starting up in low res at least once a week, the game crashing more often than I'd like.
I have drawn the conclusion that on the whole my experience with the Xbox is that it is crap, I was also reminded that my Xbox series X had also failed just out of warranty (I found this on my Microsoft list of devices) so I just chucked it away and bought the new X model.
I have said this before, they should have released this on the Playstation as I never had a problem with any of the Fallout or Skyrim/Oblivion series at all.
Now I've got to send it back to Germany to get repaired what a shambles.

Just to add a bit of balance I still have every generation of Xbox and they all still work !Just as I was approaching Akila the screen went blank. Nothing at all from the X BoxX at all dead as a doornail as they say.

One more thing I bought the Tom Clancy Ghost recon and have it on the two consoles, on the Playstation it links to the server straight away on the X box it takes about 20 attempts. What more can you say.

I'm glad you have had a trouble free experience, but from my perspective the X Box really is a POS one redeeming feature is that it is silent. My playstation 4 pro sounded like an industrial fan heater and the new PS 5 is tucked right under my desk as I can hear the fan, it's quiet but irritates.

Design lead isn't that happy with the game's reception

Thing is, I get that developing a game is hard, and it must hurt to see something you've spent so long on get criticised. But you don't have to know how something was made or why a decision was taken to say it's bad. The games industry isn't unique, if you release a product your customers don't like, you find out why and try to improve it. If KFC made a burger no one liked, they wouldn't take to Twitter telling people they don't understand how hard it is to make, and if you aren't a chef you can't comment on if something tastes nice.

Hope so, I don't want to rattle on about the XboxX but I also run the Tom Clancy game on both the PS5 and the Xbox and guess what I can never connect to the servers on the Xbox but it is instant on the PS5. I honestly think this game should be available for the PS5. If it was I'd be a bit reluctant but I'd probably prepared to loose my progress and switch.
I forgot to mention the fact the Xbox starts up 480 x120 resolution because of a handshake problem with my latest range topping LG OLED, so I always have to remember to turn the Xbox on before the TV. It's a well known fact on AV forums.
Also the game goes into like an echo chamber for some reason or other so my investment in a Dolby Atmos system for my games room is wasted I have to start and re0start it to get a decent conversation,
Why assume that it is the X Box’s fault and not LG? I forgot to mention the fact the Xbox starts up 480 x120 resolution because of a handshake problem with my latest range topping LG OLED, so I always have to remember to turn the Xbox on before the TV. It's a well known fact on AV forums.

I’ve not had any issues on either of my Sony Bravia TV’s with X Box. This years range topping XR65A95L and a XR55A80J
There has been a fair bit of dissing X Box on this thread but I don’t see any of these issues and my PS5 is not better either. They are pretty much identical once playing, only the UI is different. My Sony TV’s do like my PS5 as they have extra settings for it but the X Box works equally well.
What can and does happen is some machines may have a fault. This is not uncommon with any product and not necessarily typical of every one sold.
I had some issues with game mode on my Samsung s95c if we are all talking flagship TV's and my series x
It was fixed with a new hdmi cable
On the ps5 v Xbox just be aware the ps5 doesn't have as much hdmi bandwidth as the series x so actually the ps5 can't offer as much as the Xbox image wise and it's a tradeoff
But least it offers 40gbs and that's enough would be nice if it was the full 48gbps
Ps hardly any games offer Dolby atmos

As I have said I seem to have bought 2 X boxes that have failed the one X died just out of warranty so I threw it away.
Since going over from a gaming PC to a Playstation a very long time ago I only experienced crashes and problems when I bought the Xbox.

Last time I had issues with an Xbox was RROD with an old 360 probably 20+ years ago. I've had a few since then and no issue.
Anyway, Ive just picked up a series X in the latest round of deals with them. Is Starfield any good? I'm usually on Battlefield, FIFA, Forza etc but occasionally I get sideswiped by other genres for a good few hours at least...

Yes and no.
It is Skyrim/Fallout in space.
For me it was at the low end of the scale bug-wise.
The major quest lines are all good (Ryujin less so, Vanguard more so), and I enjoyed just roaming the systems surveying and having random encounters. I loved building ships.
There are very repetitive elements too.
