I've got a new gaming PC and fancy this but I'm struggling to find a decent deal for the Standard edition for PC. There's this one from CDKeys for £40 but the under platforms it's all XBox and CDKeys help were useless.

Any recommendations from anyone? I've not been through the whole thread though I'll start now. I'd rather not go down a monthly subscription route.

To be fair, it does say "PC" in both the listing title and the URL.

It's the same one I bought, it'll work fine - I'm not sure GFWL even differentiates between platforms anymore tbh.

I bought mine from Microsoft Iceland site. It is about £35 currently for the standard edition. Works like a charm.

I'd left this and got the 40 points together from the other stuff. Then I had a go at the Trial lastnight and won it in 2, I used a Lotus GT1. In the first race I started last, got nudged wide and missed a checkpoint early on trying to get through the pack to the AI cars. Finished last but the rest of the team were all ahead of the AI, race won. For the second race I started 1st and stayed 3rd for most of the race, close to a team car ahead and AI behind. In the last 10% the AI came through past me and had a go at 2nd, they both went wide, I cut through and the AI lost out to come 4th. Top 3 was blue, race won . I didn't know Goliath was the 3rd race!

I found out the Goliath was race 3 after being punted off by a team mate in race 2.

I was not impressed.

My first reaction to the Hot Wheels add on was being a bit disappointed they were doing the same thing again. Since then I've read that there will be water flume and ice track runs depending on the weather. The last Hot Wheels track was for FH3, things have moved on (Series X) so I'll give it another go on this.

I never played FH3 (the only FH I haven't), so I was excited it was Hot Wheels but I can understand why some don't feel the same.

Didn't expect the brand collaboration to be expansion 1, it was 2 on the previous titles.

I think there’s an entirely separate hotwheels game, so unsure on why they’ve done this as well.

The trailer suggests that track builds will be possible.

Yeah there is, Hot Wheels Unleashed & it came out September 2021.

You will be able to use the eventlab in the HW expansion and HW track pieces in the normal world but you can only build with them if you have the DLC expansion. You can still play them if you dont have it.

The player reception for 5 is sadly so meh I think they are having to throw everything they can at it. No idea what the second expansion will be, people keep talking about a proper city but I can't see it. Wouldn't be surprised by another brand tie in or something totally new like bikes/boats as a test bed for the next game.

It's a shame really because it's the best horizon game so far technically and gameplay wise, but it's not the best horizon game, seems to lack soul. And the bugs and glitches are infuriating. They are on a par with a low budget, small developer niche game, not a gold star title.

I have the same livery glitch since day one, most decals will be on a black rectangle backing, standard decals and logos at that. FH4 had the better map and was more enjoyable to play, I put FH5 on for the first time in 5-6 weeks and was sick of it after 20 minutes. For me it's too much off road, less players online, and the seasonal challenges are annoying with having no choice on what car to use, when in FH4 you could use anything as long as it was in whatever class you had to use. I'll try the HW DLC (I think it's part of the ultimate edition or whatever it's called) but I can't see it being enough to make the game interesting.

Installed the Hot Wheels expansion last night, not sure if it's for me. I hadn't played the expansion in FH3 so I was curious about it, but it really just highlights the uncomfortable place between arcade racing and more realistic car handling that FH sits in. GTA:O does this kind of racing better with it's stunt races imo.

Just installed this myself, I like it! I have never played the Hot Wheel Expansion for FH3,but I really do like this expansion. I can't say that GTA Online does it better though.

This is far more slicker and I am really enjoying it at the moment

I think I softened on it once I’d played it for a bit. My meaning with the gta comparison is that doing all the arcadey hi G stuff in that is easier to manage as it’s more arcadey all round.

AI is highly variable in the hotwheels expansion.

Sometimes borderline unbeatable, same car on another layout is 12 seconds a lap slower.
