Sorry about that, ended up in Spa for some reason. Lost it at Eau rouge and ended up doing doughnuts in the gravel trap.
For some reason the German hosts of this game didn't like that and booted me...

Next time...

Hosts are very concious of people mucking about and general wreckers. We are a serious racing league too.

but not so serious that we dont have fun eh fwd

Grats on the win Ian, very consistant!

Think MJ should be called 'move left' from now on

great race by the way everyone, think we had 8 finishers out of 10 starters didn't we?

Jimmy you were only 5-10 secs away from me for 25 mins! excellent, had to keep pushing harder as you got closer then when you had a moment and dropped off, I lost concentration and you caught again

welcome and thanks to the newcomers, specialy Adam for leaving generous track space to pass (even if not on purpose sometimes )

will set some of my 'F' keys up for saying thanks, bugger off, etc so I dont scrape barriers on the straight

Brno next week then is it..... WSB was a tad booring there, guess it could be different to race.........

Nik

ps - did u get the replay etc fwd?

Let me know which track you are planning to race and I'll get some miles in!

what do you mean "move left" at least I did'nt nudge anyone this week......

Just ask Ian and FWD, they lapped me enough times

Had fun chasing you down in the last couple of laps mj0uk, I'd been just taking it easy after crashing heavily but saw I had a chance of catching you after my last pitstop so I was pushing pretty hard.. albeit with far too much fuel onboard, not quite sorted out this pitstop lark yet.

I nudged a couple of 360s while trying to lap them... Sorry about that. One took me by surprise by braking on the straight before the chicane while I was right behind them and the other warped in front of me just as I went to pass it, tried to jink round it and it warped back where it was before and I went smack into the side of it.

Oh anyone got any tips for getting out of a gravel trap with a puncture? Got stuck in one for ages going round in circles, not helped when when the girlfriend unplugged my digital camera which minimised GTR... least I was already stuck in the gravel with a trashed car.

I mean.....chat messages keep coming up whilst racing with your name next to the text saying 'Move left' that was all fella, was'nt implying anything, don't think we came close to eachother the whole race in fact, was'nt even aware of your 'Nudging ' paranoia

Yea you had me in the end, just didn’t have the power in the old girl - later found out that the throttle was at 80%. Then when you passed me on the last lap I went a bit hot into a corner and smacked the wall pretty hard.

As for getting out of the gravel - I generally give it a fair bit of revs and switch between neutral and 1st to get a bit of motion then ease of the gas and slowly work back to the black stuff.

Anyway looking forward to the next race.

No paranoia - just sometime lack concentration.....

Shame GTR doesn't let you wave as you fly past me

Managed to get moving without too much trouble, just that with a rear puncture I didn't seem to be able to steer at all in the gravel and just kept going round and round in circles. Was quite annoying, especially as the car was relatively driveable when I did get out.

wondering what you were doing there lap after lap as I could see the dust you were kicking up, it'd be good if you could throw a tow line when passing eh, think it might be a tad dangerous tho

MJ what were you driving, i dont remember passing you maybe it was while you were in pits, anyway I'll put a wavey in theh F keys l8r

I feel like i'm being quite ignorant when racing as it takes everything i've got

I know, I've no idea why I ended up at Spa though, really wasn't expecting that. If I was racing I think I would have booted me too! Been practising though, so next time I'll be able to do myself justice!

because you didn't choose the Pistonheads server, I saw you connect to one called Xfrm...racing or something.

Can I also add I can't type and race at the same time. So can only manage a "ty" perhaps everytime I hit a straight, but even then I'm driving a curve line

I have the race replay but I'm waiting on the server report to be uploaded so I can do the results

Thanks PV, to be honest after the 1st lap incident I had a 16 second or so lead so was able to relax a bit, unlike during qualifying where I went off track nearly every lap

Everybody was extremely well mannered while being passed. I misjudged a couple of times, once having to overtake on the grass hope I didn't cause any problems.

Looking forward to the next race, hopefully I'll get a chance this weekend to put in a few practice laps cause I've not driven the next track before either.

Might have the race results.txt file soon to make the Proper webpage for Oschersleben and upload it.

Good race though as usual. I tried a new strategy tactic of starting the race with 36mins of fuel, then 1st pit put 18 mins of fuel on and then 9mins worth of fuel at the 2nd pit to finish the race. But have no idea if it would work due to the 1st lap incident. And me having to drive like a maniac to try to get the time back and in the process wearing my tyres out, pitting early and spinning a couple of time due to more tyre wear.

Here's me just before I landed on my roof. If you look carefully I'm using a bit of rear brake bias to make sure I control the landing

PS.
Dear Santa
Please can I have a first lap on GTR without an incident of any kind.
Lots of love

Sorry for the delay.. results are up now. I just moved and don't have internet yet. I'm using a 'hacked' wireless near me, which is actually just an insecure/open network... but it's flaky as the signal is weak fo me (so it cuts in and out a lot). Anyway, the results are in the usual spot.

Sammie

PS I can't send emails right now, but I can receive them. So I may not reply to any emails until I get my internet setup. But I will reply here if needed.
