I have one of these - Logitech K400 Plus
Not using it on a steamdeck but with my PC in the games room. 6 years now and it's still working fine, probably changed the battery once and it's been chucked around all over the shop, stood on, dropped etc.
Cheers i'll have a dig round for one !Not using it on a steamdeck but with my PC in the games room. 6 years now and it's still working fine, probably changed the battery once and it's been chucked around all over the shop, stood on, dropped etc.
Got my Dock today, works great as expected. Really tight fit so no use if you have even the thinnest of cases on the Deck.
Dualsense also arrived, so good for the Deck as the touch pad works great as a mouse pointer when needed. Use that for PS1 stuff and above and have a 8 BitDo SN30 for Nintendo stuff and an 8BitDo M30 for Sega. All connects seamlessly via Bluetooth, hell of a set up!

Mines going back I’ve started the RMA. Purchased uncharted and at most get 15 minutes before a freeze and a black screen. Looking online there are a lot with the same problem and the only answer is to return.
It’s a pain because I bought a decent screen protector I wont be rushing to buy one for my replacement.
It seems some less demanding games like Pillers of Eternity don’t cause as many problems.
I’ve tried abosolutley everything hoping for a setting or firmware fix but not joy.
Started playing up after about 2 weeks.

Have you tried increasing the page file size? I had the same issue with RDR2 and since doing that it’s performed flawlessly. It’s a pain because I bought a decent screen protector I wont be rushing to buy one for my replacement.

You’ll need to boot into the desktop and run a few commands, but it’s easy enough and there are guides online.

Yeah, it's a really nicely designed dock. Dualsense also arrived, so good for the Deck as the touch pad works great as a mouse pointer when needed. Very pricy compared to the 3rd party alternatives but AFAIK the only one to offer dual video outputs. That won't be a priority for most gamers but I'll be putting Windows onto an external SSD so that I can dock the deck and use it as a low-powered secondary PC (don't want to be firing up the power hungry main one all the time just to do a bit of web surfing) and the ability to do dual-screen on it will be very handy ...
Also good that Valve have put a lot of work into improving the experience of using the deck with docks/external monitors in general. I picked up an external 'USB monitor' in the recent second Primeday sale (which will eventually be my second screen) and it works fantastically well just plugging the USB cable in. Totally seemless experience as it transfers to the external screen and switches off the internal one, and back again when disconnected. Games seem to auto-change to 720p resolution which gets upscaled to 1080p output but still looks great at 15.6". Of course you can config the game to be 1080p res and sacrifice a bit of performance but for most stuff that isn't necessary and you're better off at 720p with a good framerate.

I think i mentioned it earlier in the thread when the problem started.
Latest from Valve support totally ignoring my previous posts saying the device is crashing and I have no performance problems.
Thank you for contacting Steam Support and for that information.
As you are still seeing the problem we would like to gather some additional diagnostic data from your Deck. To do so, please do the following:
Plug the Deck into your provided power supply unit (PSU/charger) and make sure the battery is at 95% or greater charge. Leave it plugged in for the duration of the testing.
Turn on the performance overlay from the Performance options in Quick access (you'll need to select and use Performance Overlay Level 4).
Test the issue with a few different games that have a Deck rating of "Verified" or "Playable" that you are having the issue in and take a photo of them clearly showing the performance information when you encounter the performance problem in game again.
Attach/upload photos to this ticket in reply.
Ones we have this information we will be able to assist you further
