I bloody hate enna... I think the problem is that my smooth driving style isn't suited to having to jump all these kerbs... Also.. that third gear corner (right hander)... turn 3 I think it is. It is a 90 degree right... should be the easiest corner in the world but I just can't get it right for some reason

anyway the upshot is I am consdering racing in a 911 GT2 tomorrow Just for the hell of it

The winner tomorrow will be the last person to destroy their car on the tyres at the chicanes.

In our practice just now there weren't so many people doing that... though I have written off one Porsche (big style... I think i definately broke top gears "number of barrel roles" world record), 2 saleen, several 550s yesterday and a few C5rs

Yes, I was right behind you when you did it. Very impressive. Two rolls before you even landed!

Not going to get home in time for this

Hope everyone makes it round the first lap (but I doubt it) and I'll be back next week.

currently toying with the move to GT and sacrificing my championship points, or otherwise staying with NGT, and putting up with constantly being lapped.

Maybe a Seat Toledo tonight, not sure.

I guess it'll be Mike chaseing me down tonight then Jimmy, pitty you can't make it, see you next week though eh

I feel carnage coming on with all those chicanes

must be frustrating being lapped all the time Dobbo even though you only have to pit once, it'd still grate everytime someone out dragged me its why I did'nt move to NGTs in the end, rather put up with 2 x pits....

maybe fwd would make some kind of allowance on your points for the move?

nice to see ur back Diver see you tonight!

To be honest at the moment I think I'm happy to sacrifice the points - given that I only have a few, and I think I'd rather be in a GT from now rather than cling onto some points and stay NGT.

I'm hardly going to challenge for the championship in either case.

Also, managed a 1:31.7 in a 550 yesterday.

Think I'll be staying with NGTs for this race. I got down to 1:41.5 in the 360 after a lot of practice. Might do 2 pitstops (and lose any advantage I had), it depends on how the tyres hold out. They were getting pretty ropey during last week's race.

Finally got some practice in, best time so far 1m31.5s but I can't me getting that in qualifying without a clear lap.

Really need to be on pole or last to survive the first lap.

As the Sarge said on Hill Street Blues. "Let's be carefull out there"

Only 3 finishers at Enna and one was MJ04UK who spent about 15 minutes digging himself out of a gravel trap...

Persistance pays.

Unfortuately for me I decided to investigate some graffitti on one of the tyre chicanes, it said "if you can read this you've crashed".

I saw him there nearly every lap, until I crashed at the last fast chicane.
I was pacing myself and just totally misjudged the clearance to the barriers, result 1 wrecked car sitting on the racing line ( I should have sat there and got the race red flagged )
