I'm using the 962 for Spa ...easy money!
Haven't used that one yet take a lot to beat the Merc though will give it a go tonight. Are you taking down the power and bumping up the ballast, or doing the Tomahawk method by making the gearing janky?

It handles like crap with the ballast rammed at the front, has a bigger effect I suppose as it's so light

What are peoples general techniques for getting cars like that to 800pp? I tried the other day pissing about with the 787b but got bored and sacked it off

On the 962 I have the power restrictor at 73 and the ballast at 200 (central). The just adjust downforce.. Tyres are racing hards and it is 799.47pp with no turbocharger etc. I left the gearing as it although really I would like to adjust it to get slightly better acceleration but that will cost me on the power restrictor I suspect....Are you taking down the power and bumping up the ballast, or doing the Tomahawk method by making the gearing janky?
Managed to get to within 0.4 of Super GT’s time on the IA-10 license test. Although I believe his was done before the update which improved the handling so he’d probably go even quicker now. Not sure I could go much quicker with the controller.
Finally got round to doing some of the 1 hour endurance races too, good fun trying out different cars, setups and strategies. Just finished the Kyoto race using the KTM X-Bow and managed it without pitting as the SH’s last really well and only needed a small amount of fuel saving.
Looking forward to future updates where hopefully we’ll get more endurances races, maybe 2-4 hours?

I used to love the proper endurance races on GT3, my ps3 was on for days doing a few hours here and there and leaving it on pause
Yeah, I remember doing that. These days I can’t maintain concentration long enough. Either I slow down for periods during long races, or I make stupid mistakes. If I take a break, I’m guaranteed to go off the road when I resume, because it always takes me a few laps to get the feel of the controller when I start it up.
It’s almost like I’m getting too old for this stuff.

Yep...that's what I did, I used it for the Sardegna 800pp race, it can easily no stop on map 6 for a 26 flatUpdate next week, I can’t work out any of these though

Bottom right could be this, shape and roof scoop matches
With the bottom left one they reckoned might be this - but I'm not so sure, for one where's the wing?
Bottom left could be all kinds of things...really not sure

Oh and I had my first taste of an online race today (not sure why there are two different online lobbies mind!).... F**K me, they are able to go faster on the straights and the corners than me... Wondering what the hell is wrong with my set ups to get the PP down the numbers to enter the race..

Out of the second to last corner, the tight left hander, the Audi got up the inside of me and had me off at the last corner as his acceleration out of slow turns was so much better.
So only won by 20-odd seconds in the end, and that was only because of their multiple pit stop strategy.
In the F1600 I lapped a lot, if not all the field. Can't exactly remember as it was a while back
962 is great round Spa though, because you only really have La Source as your low speed acceleration point. Rest is mainly nice long sweepers.
Wondering if the Jag would be better round something like Sardegna given its non-turbo?
As an aside, I'm really hoping with the next update they give us some group 1 races so we can actually use these cars properly.
Also hoping they do a Nurburgring endurance in the same vein as the Spa race, that would be epic

Are you doing custom lobbies or the daily races guessing you talking about custom races. Unless you doing gr3/4 races I wouldn't join a pp limit lobby massive difference in car set ups. Hence why we decided to go one make racing with our championship.MG CHRIS said:

Hence why we decided to go one make racing with our championship. The more I play, the more I get frustrated with the game, and its almost purely that AI (or lack of it)
Glued to a line, when they bunch up into a pack, they can hardly seem to pass each other. The worst thing, by far, and most frustrating, is their talent for being able to hit your back side and spin you into a pit maneuver, every damn time.
Sometimes not the best driving from me, but when you collide with an AI, the weight of their vehicle is off the charts, they can spin you and not be affected in the slightest. But that weight doesnt affect them in any other way such as handling.
This isn't an isolated thing at all. It's just not fun to race against this AI in this rabbit chasing 40+ second lead format.
Bought online access finally, did some daily race B, and yeah this is fun (came second in my first full race ). Humans can be fking idiots online sometimes, but at least its organic and not artificially harder.
