Agree with the above, it's not even the case of having multiple different GTR trim levels, even bringing back the rear wheel drive and 4 door Skyline's would be better than yet more VGT cars, give us JZX Toyota's, Starlet Glanza's and some of the other road and race cars that haven't been seen for years.
The only VGT cars I've ever seen used online are the GR.3 Beetle and RX Vision Mazda, the others just don't appear anywhere. OK the Tomahawk does when used by people just intent to ram you off the road

I'd love it if they brought the Toyota Starlet Glanza V back as I used to own one many moons ago, but are they going to track down a mint condition slightly spicy compact car from 1996 that has a tiny fraction of a fanbase as the Skyline has and then fully model it inside and out? Not happening.
You jest, but a colleague of mine owns just such a machine!

Would they go back and do the work to bring things like Starlets, City Turbos, Preludes, FTOs, Celicas and such in to the current game? We could maybe hope for a single example of each but it would be a huge amount of work and data.

The back catalogue from back in the day must be massive. I still have all my old PlayStations and GT games. I'm tempted to fire some up as a reminder.

I did miss the challenge of navigating my way through the menus with modifications on cheap cars to pick off the series to fund a new car.

There's been a PP tweak also. The Tomahawk has been changed again.

No jesting from me, I really do miss it! Weighing a little over 900kg with 133bhp it was great fun.

The really tragic part is I sold it for £700. Yes. Seven. Hundred. Pounds.

Yeah just doing the new 400pp kei car cup

Got in the S660 I used for the Kei car endurance, it was on 399 something pp, went to enter the first race and it's pp jumped to 415!

So all those car I've got nicely set to 700pp for Le Mans...bugger...

For good this time. Earned me around 12,000,000 credits so I’m happy enough to plough on now.

I guess I will wait and see if someone can still get around it but if not I have cars that can win Le Mans and Spa and even Sardegna sooo can still get plenty of credits, it just takes a little longer...

On the subject of the endurance races....
I always try to play for a clean race bonus, which is OK on a 5 lapper .... however I'd be mightily miffed if on the last lap of a 2 or 3 hours race I ran a little bit wide and put some wheels onto the grass and lost what must be a whopping bonus on an endurance race payout.
Is there any leniency at all in the longer races or is it still a case of one tap on an AI car or one small excursion off track = no bonus?

You have to really be smashing into things to not get the clean race bonus for an endurance

I haven't got it on one occasion only, and that's when I did Spa in the Tomahawk.

I couldn't change from slicks because of PP restrictions, it rained heavily as normal and I was off the track an awful lot and was smashing into cars all the time

A few pages back, I posted some pics of me in the F1600 at Spa fully taking out another car as revenge for him spinning me round. Still got the clean race bonus

We used to, totally childishly, call those the Toyota Helmet.

My experience on Le Mans reflects this too, you can even get a few penalties for track limits without losing the bonus.

A bit of a rub or at least an accidental nudge if they randomly brake seems to be OK as well, presumably it would have to be a proper job to lose the bonus.

You can smash into the opponents at a closing speed of 150mph and not lose the bonus.

I'm not sure the update has changed that.

The new update has completely ruined the force feedback on a number of wheels, as in there is barely any even on maximum settings. The cars feel very light and floaty, you can't tell what the wheels are doing at all.

It's crazy that they approved this patch for release without proper testing.
Yep, they’ve completely f’d it. I’ve had to change in game ffb from 4 to 10 and it’s still weak

Please note this is coming from a dedicated GT fan right from the first game, so it pains me greatly to say it......

I would not have thought it was possible to make this game any more st than it already is, but I gotta hand it to you Polyphony, you've knocked it out of the park this time !

The Real Driving Simulator my hairy arse !

Done the first two new menus tonight. If like me you wouldn't otherwise be looking to buy a VGT car I can recommend the Toyota FT-1 (I think, the Supra-y thing). It is also Gr3 so only 450k compared to the 1m for the regular VGT cars. It is also more normal looking and sounds great.

Popped Racing Softs on and the high RPM turbo + racing box and was quite a way off the PP limit. Wondered if I'd be competitive but it absolutely destroyed the races. Europe race with the really long straight a couple of the front-running EVs pestered me a bit but in the corners it was untouchable. If you haven't done it yet I'd recommend the car as a cheap but effective option.

Aside from that car the only other VGTs I like are the Bugatti, Porsche (which was rapid in a straight line against me) and especially the Hyundai thing. That looks brilliant.

Edit: oh and my 6* ticket got me 500k. Great.
