Some more half hour races that earned similar amounts would be welcome, or just make the custom race stuff reward you similarly for a half hour race.
That’s what I’d like to see. More races similar to the LM 700pp. But you should be able to setup custom races where the reward is better calculated to reflect the difficulty.

For a month or more now I’ve been in a rut where I am literally doing Spa or Le Mans, and just building up cash as there isn’t many cars I want now. There are still a lot I don’t have, but nothing takes my fancy.
I was up to about 30m until the McLaren F1 appeared so I grabbed that and now back to about 13.
I enjoy those 2 races, so it’s nice to spend an hour on it, but even then I win every time and there isn’t much of a challenge.
I’ve run out of steam a bit with liveries, but do still love making them. The problem is finding ones to make that haven’t already been done dozens of times already.
I still have some circuit experiences and missions to do, maybe I’ll get back into those at some point.

What car do people use for Spa? I’ve found the best to be the ‘16 GT-R Nismo GT500, on RH tyres I’m lapping around 1.12.3xx at best
CLK GTR is my number 1 choice. If there's no rain before the half hour mark you can get to about 28 mins on Fuel 3 and do it as a one or two stop depending on how the rain comes from there and what tyres you need
962 Porsche is always a good one to use also found the Zonda r pretty decent bit worse on fuel though

I never change the fuel map on the GT500, by the time you need fuel you need wets any way, or on the rare occasion it doesn’t rain enough I’ll just carry on with the tyres and get fuel only. Even with two tyre and or fuel stops you can still finish a lap ahead

The 962 or 787.. So light on fuel you can easily one stop... And drive casually enough yet still win....

Acquired another engine last night from a 4 star ticket. SR20DET from the S15, i think it can only be installed in the S13 Silvia K's. It reminded me I still had a Corvette LT1 engine for the Mazda MX-5 15' so I installed it, lightened the car up to Stage 3 weight reduction, stuck soft racing tyres, fully customisable racing transmission and fully adjustable suspension on it and took it to Le Mans to see what it can do. Adjust the gearing and it will do 200+ easily, its insane in a straight line but awful round bends. I haven't done a proper tune on it yet.

I really confused an Italian in a fully modded Focus RS around Tsukuba, he couldn't fathom why he was getting absolutely battered on the back straight by a little MX-5!

Had covid the past week so managed to get some good hours in!

Got gold in all the missions bar the last one (with the endurance races) & finally got the last license fully gold.

Bit frustrated at the lack of content. Things seem a bit unbalanced, some tracks have 7 races of various categories and other have just 1. Worked through a few track experience/mastery ones which is good fun but very sweaty.

There's a bit of a helpful glitch in one of the final license tests, the F1 cars in the rain at Spa. Couldn't get better than 3rd the first times I tried it, but last week, all the competitors spin out on the first corner every single time. Could be handy if anyone has struggled with it.

So did the brands Circuit experience a month a go and despite being a track I like and in the radical I love I couldn’t get a good time. Tried it yesterday and knocked nearly 4 seconds off my time with no effort. Assume there’s been some behind the scenes changes?

Been doing some of the latter content - menu books for K car cup, Vision GT Trophy and Gr1 Series, plus races like WTC 800 at Spa and WTC 700 at Le Mans.

Has anyone noticed that the AI pitting/tyre strategy is absolute junk? They seem to react to the weather at that instant, not the forecast. So they'll do nonsense like pit for soft/medium/hard moments before rain is due to hit, then later they'll be pitting for wets just before the weather dries up...

I do feel like it's become a bit easier. Definitely cars don't seem to be spinning out as easily as they were!

Finally managed to get gold on the 'Ring circuit experience. From being 7 seconds off a few weeks ago, then 2 seconds last week, I managed to gold it by nearly a second at the weekend.

Monza too, only took me a few attempts at each sector and the final lap I think was only 2 or 3 tries, eventually smashing that gold time by a couple of seconds.

That's was the 1.13 update that fixed that made the mid engine cars a lot easier to drive.

The tyre that appears on the leaderboard when they pit is the one that they are currently on. You don't see what they are changing on to, which is why it appears backwards a lot of the time.

I'm guessing that based on the fact that that's how it works for your own tyres when you enter the pit lane, so I assume it's the same...

Also an extremely minor gripe, but the tyres that are 'put on' your car are always visually the same as what you have on currently. The two bugs are probably related, and probably your tyres don't actually change until you leave the pits

Any tips on the "Human Comedy 1 hour races"

Specifically, the Kei car thing is bugging me how fast the AI is on the straits and the MX5 race at Tsukuba seems almost impossible - AI grip on racing tyres in the wet seems unfeasible?

Wat? Not disputing that's what happens, but if so it's beyond retarded. So you can tell what tyres they were previously on, but not currently on :/ Not just useless but very misleading.

It's only misleading if you choose to make judgements off the AI, the track conditions are there in front of you along with a weather forecast. It's pretty easy to make tyre choices on this game.

If you scroll back to page 107 of this thread you'll find four pictures I posted for my tune for the Honda S660

I put max ballast 20 to the front then just added as much power as possible, power is better for top speed vs. low weight, so just stack it full of as much as you can

I doubt you'll be able to get close to that tune now though, given they've nerfed the pp and the gearbox making a difference, I think I selected it recently for the recent new kei car race and it jumped up to well above 400pp.

But yeah, just go all out on power

From what I recall, the MX5 race I was hanging on right near the end but they messed up (no surprise there) with the rain late on and I managed to get the win, so you have to time your pits with the weather well

Thanks - will give it a go (or let my son do it as he is quicker than me!) smile
